Thank you very much!
I just wanted to say thank you! I'm a newcomer to Wiki and you really helped me when I thought I had messed up my page. Thanks again!!!

Calcium gluconate
Thanks for the nice new SVG structure at calcium gluconate. I've put it in the appropriate category on Commons.
One thing needs attention: the negative charges on the gluconate ions are missing so pale that you can barely see them!
Ben (talk) 14:22, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- I did notice, and I have been playing around with Isis and Scribus to see if there is an easy answer - in the end I think it will be an Inkscape tweak - the "bars" are just a single bar in Svg, so one can fairly easily adjust the width without upsetting the rest of the drawing. Question! - how wide? Inkscape put it as 0.125 thick - compared to the width of a single bond at 0.750. Should I make it the same, or a wee bit less - say 0.500 (4 x thicker than original). I've the same problem to fix with Calcium diglutamate. Ronhjones (Talk) 19:25, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Same thickness as the lettering and the bonds, I guess. As long as it's legible.
Thanks for the quick reply!
Ben (talk) 20:12, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- Changed to 0.75px thick - I think that will do. Ronhjones (Talk) 20:21, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Looks great, thanks very much.

Football player heights
Hi. Thanks for your help with reverting unreferenced changes to football player heights. I recently posted about this problem here. Since then, the editor (or editors) seems to have started removing references as well as changing the heights. Any suggestions for how to deal with this would be appreciated. Cordless Larry (talk) 22:15, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'll keep an eye open - I've issued two warning templates so far.. Ronhjones (Talk) 22:29, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- The problem is that it's happening to lots of articles and the IP address keeps changing so it's very difficult to keep track of. Cordless Larry (talk) 22:35, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- It's fairly easy to spot in WP:HG - so long as the page loads (my connection is not always quick enough) Ronhjones (Talk) 22:43, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

your censorship seems quite barbaric —Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolbeans5150 (talk • contribs) 23:15, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- So you are saying that my reversion for lack of references, along with two other editors who reverted the article are wrong? I think not... Ronhjones (Talk) 23:18, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
You and I were reverting this article at the same time and somehow the system didn't keep them separate. Now, I do not know how to put the article right. Any ideas? — SpikeToronto (talk) 23:35, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeeesss. I've used WP:TW to go back to 11th August. That's all that data restored. Ronhjones (Talk) 23:38, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you so much. I like to use Recent changes to troll for vandalism and revert it. But, all I know how to use is WP:UNDO. Thanks again! — SpikeToronto (talk) 23:41, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Anyone autoconfirmed editor add WP:TW to their "view" - Then when viewing the diffs, one can click "Restore This Version" - any far back as needed. Ronhjones (Talk) 23:44, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, when I go to Gadgets under my preferences to add TW, it does not list my browser -- Internet Explorer -- as one of the ones with which it works. — SpikeToronto (talk) 23:59, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Correct. It does work with Firefox 3 (not sure about 3.5 yet - haven't got round to upgrade), and since I changed to Firefox (to use Twinkle), I have grown more and more fond of it. So much so, that it's now my default browser - also one can add a spell checker for these edit boxes :-). Now it's annoying me that I can't use FF3 at work. Defying Gravity (song)
My 'test' edit
The word I changed was a misused word. Crescendo means a build up to a climax, not the climax itself. The song does not end on a cliffhanger as it were it ends on big booming chords. Please change it to the correct word. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.155.45.162 (talk) 00:09, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- The word added was climax - with the link - the content does not agree with the climax page - you can have climax (without the link) if you want. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:19, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I see thank you very much.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.155.45.162 (talk) 00:41, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:42, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Non-neutral??? Everyone agrees that our players shouldn't be sold. It couldn't be more Neutral. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.39.151.196 (talk) 21:57, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- I would doubt the use of everyone is correct. Ronhjones (Talk) 22:00, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay maybe all Newcastle United fans. Anyway we'll win the Championship.
- Good Luck then, but just keep it neutral here. Ronhjones (Talk) 22:04, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough, ta da. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.39.151.196 (talk) 22:08, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
For an Angel
If you deleted my text, as you did two times, why don't you delete the text about Gouryella, which says the same exact thing I tried to put in the article for an angel? It says "regarded in the club circuit as all time classic trance songs." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.250.47.16 (talk) 23:37, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- Because I didn't see it. I might have a look now though... Ronhjones (Talk) 23:39, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

I was getting very frustrated as I was correcting many errors in the Job's Daughters page, and an individual kept changing them as fast as I was fixing them. As though they had a special alarm on their computer that went off when anyone approached "their page", lol.
I will make sure that I am using the correct format.
I have given up on this. I do not have a burning desire to feel really important by controling a wikipage. I have learned that with persons with personalities like that there is nothing you can do or say.

- One must remember that no-one owns a page, and everyone can edit. Where there are errors found, then I always say that the best plan is to edit each error carefully, citing a good WP:RS (placed as an in-line reference - important) and save. Then it is unlikely that editors will revert it. Where a page has been static for some time and is then changed with no or poor in-line reference, you will find that the reversion will be fast as rollbackers (WP:ROLL) will see that page as soon as it is saved. One can always make a copy of the page in a personal sandbox, and then it's possible to re-jig without any interference, until you decide that it fully meets WP requirements and then change the main page. Thanks for the message
I just noticed an error-filled article regarding Marsaxlokk FC's history, that includes some information regarding the events that took place last season. Perhaps this would be useful in making the edit in question more reliable, though I'd rather let someone else do it at this stage. Although I thought I had read enough about adding references, I couldn't make it work as intended when I was working on the update.
