This is for all your hard work in just the past week, kicking out the most annoying sockpuppet ever to ruin a Disney article! Your diligence has definitely made it a lot easier for the rest of us to actually do some editing. Cheers, and keep up the good work! Cactusjump (talk) |

Hey I just started the article, why dont you just hold on a second. When I get done it will have quite a lot of information, that is both useful and helpful
== Thanks, that is helpful, I was just getting the documetns to upload

You recent addded an entry to my talk page. Could you please state explicitly what you deleted, and what specifically is the basis for deletion? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikemaccana (talk • contribs)

Another one bites the dust! Heh heh Cactusjump (talk) 16:39, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Sigh, the aggrevation is back again and managed to con another good editor into doing edits for him! User:Ice Age lover and User:207.201.216.12 are the socks. I've sent to AIV and I think I got the latest round of stuff cleaned up. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 00:34, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- I see that you have semi-protected or protected a lot of articles. I don't know the history behind this Bambifan101 sockpuppet master so I won't tell you what to do, but I'm wondering, is it really necessary to FULLY protect some of those articles until December 2009? Gary King (talk) 04:31, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- He's been at this for over a year, using IP and named socked including ranges no one will range block because of collateral damage. 120+ confirmed socks, and another 109 highly likely just not tagged confirmed (mostly the IPs) Semi-protecting his targets has been the only thing that had any effect in slowing his efforts (and now he's taken to trying to trick established editors into doing edits for him or getting them to make unprotection requests). See Wikipedia:Long term abuse#Bambifan101 for a longer summary. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 04:35, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm talking about FULLY protected articles. Us regulars can't edit them, only admins can. Gary King (talk) 04:38, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- You issued full protection on several articles, including Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders, Garfield's Fun Fest, Kung Fu Panda, The Penguins of Madagascar, and dozens more. Gary King (talk) 05:49, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- I assure you that I cannot edit them. Gary King (talk) 05:56, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it's not a software bug. If you check your contributions, you can find the articles that you marked as fully protected by searching for the string "edit=sysop". Gary King (talk) 05:59, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- (Chiming in) I agree that the ones mentioned by Gary King above are all fully-protected. If I, as an admin, click "edit" on Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders, I get the usual text: "WARNING: This page has been protected so that only administrators can edit it. Please ensure that you are following the protection policy." I get the log entry "02:29, 29 June 2009 PMDrive1061 (talk | contribs | block) protected Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders [edit=sysop] (expires 02:29, 29 December 2009 (UTC)) [move=sysop] (expires 02:29, 29 December 2009 (UTC)) (Excessive vandalism: Bambifan101 target) (hist | change)" (emphasis added), and I get the pink background to the editing box indicating a fully-protected page. - I don't have a particular article that I'd like to get unprotected at the moment, no. I just noticed that one of the articles I was watching was fully protected, which I found extremely odd considering it gets one or two edits a month on average. I can wait until you are able to drop the fully protected articles down to semi-protection. There are roughly 40 pages that you have fully protected recently. Gary King (talk) 06:06, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Vandalism will always be a threat. I don't really see how placing dozens or even hundreds of articles under semi-protection will solve anything, since persistent vandals, like how you described this one in particular, will always find an unprotected article to vandalize if they feel like it. - scream* its bad enough dealing with that idiot kid and his socks, but now another sockpuppetter is being a pain in the ass and encouraging OckhamTheFox's continued proxy editing. I've posted at ANI and there is an open SPI, but this is getting so annoying. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 18:51, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
The protection on The Fox and the Hound appears to have expired, and it was hit again almost immediately. Looks like he may have a new IP range and is quick hopping between IPs. Guess he went traveling again...ugh. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 23:21, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Question
Earlier today I closed an Mfd (Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Allsterecho talk redirects) that I had voted in. Usually you shouldn't do this, however, the result was "speedy delete" and was carried out by Graeme Bartlett. Obviously, as I am not an admin, I didn't delete it myself. I only closed it because Graeme seemed to have forgotten. Do you think this will come back to bite me later on? -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 04:09, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, okay, thanks. :) As to Bambifan, I appreciate the accolades, but I'm not sure that I did anything to deserve them. Maybe it was Collectian? Or perhaps I did and forgot, as this has happened in the past. Either way, I appreciate it. :) -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 04:13, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Haha, perhaps I was. Today has been crazy and I've been all over the place, so I probably just don't remember. I've had the privilege of running into several of his socks, and must agree with you, that I do pity him, as he's more sad than anything else. Haven't seen you around lately but hope to see you more active in the future as you are quite an asset to this site. Cheers! -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 04:23, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
THANK YOU. That little guy was the most annoying vandal I've had to deal with in quite a while. I am so incredibly pleased to see him blocked. :) -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 00:08, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
XOP Networks Page Deletion
The recently created wikipedia page for XOP Networks was subject to speedy deletion. I justified the existence of the page by saying it was not created for promotion or vandalism. Please let me know if it is safe to begin editing the page under this new user name which more clearly identifies me as an individual, not a company associate. (I am not employed by XOP Networks, nor do I have any intention of promoting their products.) I simply wanted to begin their encyclopedia page so that others may learn about the company's history, founding, and miscellaneous facts. Again, I just want to know if I can safely make edits to this page under my new user name.
Thanks, Chirag Gupta
Deletion of page Indian IT Professionals Network
Would like to know why you have deleted the page. If this is considered promotion them so are millions of other pages. Please provide a reason. TapanTime (talk) 17:05, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Unblock request
Hi. :) There's an unblock request at User talk:Ckalex1996, where the contributor asserts that the articles he was creating were not vandalism. Certainly they're irregular and he did not respond to notices, but I've put the request on hold while seeking feedback from you, since I might be missing something. I'm not sure this kid meets WP:BIO, but he seems to exist, anyway: [1], [2]. Is there something more nefarious afoot than appears to the naked eye? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:54, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for handling it. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:34, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- It's always interesting, isn't it? :D --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:31, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Looks like he is back, see here and here. he earned himself 31 hrs off, but perhaps u might like to extend that, at your discretion? WuhWuzDat 00:33, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
help, advice please
I know you're battling BF101, but at least that user registers names. If you haven't been following along, there is an anon IP a few of us have been battling that we refer to as "jump in dot". A recent list of associated edits has been kept here, but the edits also include adding wildly incorrect information to various Disney film or TV show pages. Seems to be focused on Disney XD in Ireland, for example. Never a citation, changes dates, the occasional good edit to slip things past the goalie, etc. Generally speaking, whenever I see an edit by 83.70.x.x in those pages, I'm fairly certain it will turn out to be this person. We did do this for one IP, and things died down for two weeks, but was looking for what the next step would be to try to block them (or make it more difficult) better. All the WP-anon info I've seen points to "don't bite the newbies" and having to go through more hoops than you are doing with BF101. Mucho advice appreciated. SpikeJones (talk) 15:34, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- thx. Between myself, McDoob, and Bovine we can generate a more complete list of related IP edits beyond what's on the JID page we're maintaining, if that would help. Let me know whatever you need me to submit to wherever. SpikeJones (talk) 22:16, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
A3/A1
Hey there again PMDrive :). It's great to see an admin checking the new pages as they come in, and deleting them accordingly, rather than patrolling C:CSD. But when deleting under A1 or A3 (as you did to Wikipedia beta) please be sure to wait for a while, to see if the creator plans to expand the article (yes, technically they should use a sandbox, or text document, but these articles are doing little harm (you could also userify the articles)). Don't forget that you can still use speedy deletion templates yourself for cases where you think two admins should check the page :). Best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 01:00, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Will the page qualify for a couple of weeks of semi-protection? There's this one anon (who jumps a couple of IPs in the range) who keeps adding spam for a school that teaches playing the Sitar in the Santa Cruz area, quite a few have reverted, but he comes back and adds and now he removed the section entirely. cheers. -SpacemanSpiffCalvin‡Hobbes 16:16, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, the chap pops up every now and then and just does this, nothing else. I traced one IP to comcast in the bay area, so figured that he's connected with this particular school. cheers. -SpacemanSpiffCalvin‡Hobbes 16:35, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
You're fast! Got me right in the middle on placing the db tag. ;) Eeekster (talk) 00:28, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Copyvio?
You deleted "Albedo day" as a copyright violation. It is helpful if you state where you found the original material it is a copy of. Thanks. Edison (talk) 01:19, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- Somehow I thought you had speedied User:HeroVictimVillain/Albedo Day, which I believe is worth of deletion. Maybe you deleted another article I was dealing with at about the same time. How do you think this article should be dealt with ? MFD? Edison (talk) 02:25, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- The page in Portuguese you cite seems unrelated to the page I am talking about, which is about a holiday the editor made up.Edison (talk) 02:34, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Design World Magazine
you have deleted my page twice now...I have edited the article to be less "advert". Everything in the article is accurate and reference with outside sources. Recognition from outside, independent sources and not from the company have been provided for fair balance —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jcurrid (talk • contribs) 03:17, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
removal of cleanup notice
that was inadvertant and unintented. i went back to cancel the edit, but noted that the cleanup notice was back. thanks anyway

Why was my article deleted? In what way did it not conform to Wikipedia's standards? If you explain, maybe I can fix them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by PrazCoInd (talk • contribs) 18:28, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Article Deletion?
Can you please explain to me why you deleted my unfinished article? PrazCoInd (talk) 18:29, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
First, you deleted my article very shortly after it's creation, there is much more information to be included. It it a hybrid martial art, so it is new, but the history is all there, don't I have a right to create this article to educate people on it? PrazCoInd (talk) 18:37, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Then can you recommend a way to educate people on this style? It is in no way promotional, I never listed any schools or promotions, only the philosophy of the art. PrazCoInd (talk) 18:43, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Thank you PrazCoInd (talk) 18:49, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I will try, I have a degree in history, specializing in martial arts and have practiced for more than 35 years. Also can you help me link the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles link on the Pat E. Johnson page I created to the film version, not just the generic ninja turtles page? PrazCoInd (talk) 18:57, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
