WARNING: If you've come here to "notify" me of an AFD of an article you nominated the chances are, based on previous nominations, that there is a 99.9% chance you are mistaken and that the article can be expanded and is encyclopedic. Articles I create are almost always kept or the content at least redirected into a parent article as I'm usually a good judge of notability. Please don't waste everybody's time opening AFDs unless you have google searched first. If you want an article expanded, kindly ask.

Yeah, this is ridiculous. One of the most prolific Poland-related content creators, who is editing quite uncontroversially, seems to have somehow became "block on sight" for... what, exactly? I think we should do something, but what? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 03:19, 31 December 2011 (UTC
- Yes, you are right. And what "past"? I am trying to figure out any disruption that he was ever involved in, and I am not seeing anything. Even if he used several accounts, I see no indication any were used disruptively. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 12:31, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
FYI, here are the comments from the admin blocking CB: User_talk:HelloAnnyong#Blocked_for_what.3F. I and VM both have asked for more explanation at the specified page, but it does not seem to be forthcoming so far. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 23:35, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- In re: to User talk:Xeno/Archive 28#User talk:Cezary Baryka, I would suggest having this editor email the Ban Appeals Subcommittee at arbcom-llists.wikimedia.org to have this situation reviewed. –xenotalk 13:33, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
Buildings and structures in Poland by voivodeship
Thanks for creating the Category:Buildings and structures in Poland by voivodeship set - it's been somewhere on my to-do list for the best part of a year. Now just remains the task of putting all buildings within the structure...! SeveroTC 16:41, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- I will try to create city cats for the remaining city counties in the next few days - my guess is there are already a few article to fill each but if not I will write one per cat just to ensure the cat structure is there without being deleted. SeveroTC 17:53, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- 59/65 city cats done, almost all buildings categorised by voivodeship/city. I will hopefully finish the remaining six city cats before Thursday. SeveroTC 14:57, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Safir Helipolitan Hotel is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Safir Helipolitan Hotel until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Epeefleche (talk) 19:13, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Absheron Hotel
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Absheron Hotel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Epeefleche (talk) 19:16, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- The redirect of the page in question addressed the issue.--Epeefleche (talk) 08:26, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
The article Igreja de Fiães has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Page is a Portuguese-titled duplication of existing content that is already elaborated: Church of Fiães.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ruben JC (Zeorymer) (talk) 01:30, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

I present you my heartfelt thanks. Do we know each other? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:14, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Lol. That's true. I am only interested in articles related to Beyoncé Knowles. Lol. Everything happening to Malleus is sad. People may say that he state things overtly but it's better than being a hypocrite. May I know if the picture at the top is yours? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:22, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- That note at the top is F-L-A-W-L-E-S-S. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:24, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Well to be frank, no. Beyonce is equivalent to OXYGEN for me. I cannot live without logging on Wikipedia everyday to revert any nonconstructive edit made on her articles. She indeed has a good booty, especially because of pregnancy weight gain. She is about to lay the golden egg at any time. :D Do you listen to her? Critics love her. Some even worship her. Lol. What type of articles do you contribute on? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:31, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

- Thanks for the lovely words. I will continue doing that even after I am married. Lol. And thanks for granting me *permission*. I actually do not know most of DC's songs. Hmm, how old are you? I am 18. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:39, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Lol. Really don't. Beyonce does have some soft rock/jazz songs but they don't work for me. I bow to her versatility. She can touch any genre (except metal maybe). Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:48, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Lol. That's true. She is fire. Did you know that she was 4 months pregnant in that video? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:56, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Lol. She is a heavy dancer. Her moves in "Dance For You" are only sensual. But in "Run the World" (where she is two months pregnant), her moves are simply wow. I mean it's difficult to understand how she can dance so well with a bay in her womb. Please don't mind me asking... How old are you? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 18:00, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

- Fair use is safer. You always give a thorough explanation. I just say "subject is dead" and leave it at that. But I suspect you have learnt from bitter experience. I was not going to expand the article because with no picture it would be just a mass of words. So thanks again, I think. :~) Aymatth2 (talk) 19:39, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:PoulReichhardt.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:PoulReichhardt.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Kathmandu
Hi there! I would like to see Kathmandu as a featured article. We need to add a lot of links, verify the data and add good pictures. About main image, I wanted to have a montage. However, I don't have photoshop installed in my system, so had to keep the pic of durbar square. I don't think picture of the whole city is a good idea. It will just appear as a concrete jungle without any landmarks. I tried taking pictures myself, but couldnt get a nice one. The skylines/panaroma that we have are hideous and do not represent any landmarks. If you can upload any other panaroma pic, please do. I am writing the history section now. In the meanwhile, could you please create a collage consisting of File:KathmanduDurbarSquare.jpg, File:Durbar Square 2010.jpg, File:SwayambhunathAtNight.jpg, File:IMG 0361 Kathmandu Bodnath.jpg, File:Kathmandu palace.jpg, File:Shanker.jpg, File:IMG 0483 Kathmandu Pashupatinath.jpg and File:Hanuman Dhoka1.jpg ? Thank you. --Eukesh (talk) 17:31, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Just saw your message as I saved the ancient history. You can go ahead with the history. What about the collage?--Eukesh (talk) 18:00, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks about the history part. I am not against panorama pic. But, we need to have a good picture of city in our collection. Here are some examples of good panorama pics of Kathmandu-
but we do not have even a single panorama of Kathmandu that is close enough. If we want a good article, just going to the top of a hillock or a building and clicking the concrete jungle should not count! Thanks. --Eukesh (talk) 18:22, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- I can work on this, buit it will take me a few days. OK if I crop the top image so it shows less of the blue sky (looks more like a panorama that way)? Ruhrfisch ><>°° 21:54, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

And a belated Happy New Year to you too! There are some nice images in that flickr feed. What are you trying to do, get me back to contributing to Wikipedia on a regular basis? ;-) BTW, looking at Dallol, Ethiopia, I was surprised to see that the background image for the location box is missing. Do you have any idea what happened? Would you know whom I should ask about this? -- llywrch (talk) 17:10, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Slava Klavora Theatre
I see you've edited the article Slava Klavora Theatre. Do you happen to know if this is an actual building or a theatre group. If it is a theatre group, does it still exist? In any case, do you know where the subject is/was located (geotag)? --U5K0'sTalkMake WikiLove not WikiWar 19:29, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi Dr. Blofeld. The article kathmandu is consistently being vandalised by user eukesh. The user is removing all the important details and pictures from the article. "Down under" is around 30°C. Did some swimming between Xmas and New Year just across the Brazilian border in Barra do Chuí. Nice. In town it's public swimming pool 3x week. I'm waiting for the final official results of the 2011 census, which seems to have problems, to update all populated places. BTW, great work on Salto here, congrats. Cheers! Olivier Martinez
Not seeing the rationale of removal of the 'personal life' section of this BLP. Is multiple RS & MSM cited, and relevant. Have reinstated and asked editor to take it to talk but I am seeing a lot of recent activity where this particular 'contributor' won't discuss changes and also, of occasion, claims non-existent consensus. Several editors have noticed this, especially in respect of Chris Moyles, and a block warning has been issued in this case. The OM wiki will need attentions, it seems? --82.41.22.244 (talk) 22:17, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- Editor has reverted and left a very odd edit summary with a fabricated personal attack thrown in for good measure. I have reverted and asked them to take it to talk (again). --82.41.22.244 (talk) 09:05, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, now the c word comes into mind. Olivier Martinez is known for his relationships and womanizing more than his acting!!!♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:49, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Indeed he is. Looks like being a repeat of the Chris Moyles scenario but HW did get slapped down enough times (and a block threat) for him to eventually retreat. Most likely the same vigour will need to be shown here. --82.41.22.244 (talk) 13:27, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- He has a point about writing about every small fling anyody has and is unsourced. But he is removing information about long term relationships which is sourced to multiple reliable sources and is such common knowledge in the media world it looks bizarre to not mention it. Martinex is currently known more for being the boyfriend of Halle Berry than anything else.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:52, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Agree totally (as is obvious, I imagine!). If it's unsourced, insignificant gossip then of course it comes out, but HW seems very confused, very militant and oblivious to consensus and policy application. It's a worry, although more people, thankfully, seem to be noticing his recidivism. Guaranteed he reverts on his next visit. --82.41.22.244 (talk) 19:49, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Help !
Hello Dr. Blofeld,
I've tried to create the Location map of Côte d'Ivoire (Kigezo: Location map Côte d'Ivoire) on Kiswahili Wikipedia (missing here), with the following code :
{{# switch: {{{1}}} | = Jina Ivory Coast | top = 11 | bottom = 4 | left = -9 | right = -2 | image = Ivory Coast location map.svg | Image1 = Ivory Coast relief location map.jpg }} Template:Location map / Info
It gives the following error message :
Expression error: Unrecognised punctuation character "[" _N_ Expression error: Unrecognised punctuation character "[" Expression _E_ error: Unexpected <operator Expression error: Unexpected <operator
Can you help me, please?--Zenman (talk) 13:26, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Ask User:Plastikspork♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:15, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. Zenman (talk) 21:58, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) what you saw was normal. you will always see an error like that in preview mode. once you save the page, then reload it, make no changes, and save it again, and the error will go away. the problem is that the location map/info template won't work until the template is created, but once it's created, then resaving it, will rebuild the info in the template. I went ahead and made it for you, but you may want to translate the English into the native language, and make sure it works. Frietjes (talk) 22:39, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

Better source request for File:Arthur Askey.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Arthur Askey.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Good job on Chiclana de la Frontera; it is such an improvement over what was there previously. I've done some copyediting, and added a bit. All paragraphs are sourced now; but I will try to add even some more later today. There seem to be too many photos, but if you can arrange them differently, i.e. you've done side-to-side ones in the past, maybe they don't need to be cut back. --Rosiestep (talk) 23:29, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
