  1. Theodor Geiger : Fantastic opportunity. I decided I'm going to work on this page. I think this will be a good opportunity to become an expert on him. I was feeling really torn between Geiger and Erik Olin Wright but then I realized that choosing one doesn't mean I can't ever study or learn anything about the other. Because Marxist sociology is one of my interests already, it's realistic that I will study Wright and neomarxism in the future so I want to take this particular opportunity to learn what Geiger's all about. Plus he's dead and the moving target thing is pretty intimidating.

Articles I'm not going to work on

[edit]
  1. Erik Olin Wright : See talk comments on his own interest in Wikipedia. He is current president of American Sociological Association and I've corresponded with him about sociology and Wikipedia. And the entry is pretty sparse. But, are you ready to spend a lot of time reading contemporary Marxist sociology?
  2. David Riesman : definitely room for work, but not sure how rewarding you'd find it as a student of social theory
  3. Functional structuralism : too big, I think.
  4. Peter Wagner (social theorist) : too minor, I think.
  5. Christopher Chase-Dunn : too minor, I think.
