The SMK Permas Jaya, also known as SMKPJ is an old public school in Permas Jaya. It is a school in Permas Jaya, Johor.

History

Beginning

SMK Permas Jaya began service as an institution of secondary education to all residents nearest Permas Jaya on December 1, 1994. Although the physical condition of the school at that time was not perfect on the first day of school but festive atmosphere can be felt under the leadership of Mr. Haji Zakaria Bin Abd Shukor as the principal pioneer.

SMK Permas Jaya originally consisted of 7 blocks of 3 classroom block (blocks A, B and C) 1 laboratory block (block D), 2 blocks of life skills (block E) and a canteen. In 1999 due to the existing building could not accommodate the student population, an additional building to accommodate three student rooms (block F) has dibina.Pada 2003 and 200, some changes have been made. A block is located in the administrative offices, counseling, cooperative, Textbook Loan Scheme, Sports Room, Geography Room and Room KKQ. While in block B, also a teacher and a board room ABM, Access room, Room Disciplines / Supervisory, Rooms Interior and Vault. Wednesday Activities

On every Wednesday, co-curricular activities are usually held. There are two types of co-curricular activities, and these are club & societies and uniformed bodies. Every student has to wear their uniformed body uniforms whatever the activities may be on the day.

The uniformed bodies that are present in the school are , Kadet Remaja Sekolah (KRS), Malaysian Red Crescent Society (PBSM), Malaysian Fire Brigade Cadet, Kadet Remaja Sekolah Malaysia, Persatuan Seni Silat Olahraga, Malaysian Police Bridgade Cadet, and St.John Ambulance Bridgade Cadet.

Sports

SMK Permas Jaya is famous in sports such as Soccer, Hockey, Athletics, Pencak Silat, Petanque, Basketball,and Bowling. Wildcats Permas Jaya Rugby Club (Wildcats) was a powerhouse in Johor during the 1997s and early 2000s, meanwhile SMKPJ Athletics Team has produced most of the best johor athlete in MSSD, MSSJ and MSSM, one of whom was entered in Sukma Games. SMK Permas Jaya has produced some of the best and most talented athlete and rugby players of any sport in the country.

The motto 'Knowledge We Serve' - to mean every student must acquire knowledge so that "KNOWLEDGE WE SERVE" can serve the nation.

Sport House

There has a four sport house and the name of sport house,that is Perkasa (Yellow), Panglima (Green), Wira (Red) and Satria (Blue).The Annual of SMK Permas Jaya Sports Day held at the field since the 1995s.
