I understand the original spikes were made of metal and rubber, but the specifics the different types of materials as they've been modified over the decades. Most of the information I could find came from blog posting, which I was hesitant to include.

Throughout my Wikipedia experience, I am very satisfied having this knowledge moving forward beyond my activity in this class. Learning the ins and outs of Wikipedia has really shed a light on the value of sharing essential information with others, and working together to create the most ideal source of information possible. I have a much greater appreciation for the centralization of information and the amount of research that goes in to finding it. I also learned a lot about the value of reliable sources and the utilization of presentable material that is harnessed from them.
