John Van Deusen is an American musician who was the lead singer of the indie rock band The Lonely Forest from 2005 to 2014. Since The Lonely Forest went on indefinite hiatus in 2014 John has released five solo albums. His solo work explores his Christian faith. Since 2016 he has played bass for punk band Buffet. He has Telephone Friends, a collaboration with friends Tyson Motsenbocker, Matthew Wright, Patrick Dodd and Aaron Redfield,
In 2011 he was selected for Seattle Weekly’s best male vocalist award[1].
In 2014 The Lonely Forest announced that they would be taking an indefinite hiatus. John has continued songwriting with his solo career
