Below is a cladogram of the orders within Florideophyceae.[1] The new species Entwisleia bella has been assigned its own order, Entwisleiales, for which it is the only species. Molecular analysis conducted on it placed it close to Colaconematales, despite the large about of morphological differences.[2] corallinapetrales[3]
A summary of the phylogeny of stoneflies is shown below. While the Antarctoperlaria, Arctoperlaria, Euholognatha, Systellognatha are well supported, several further relationships are disputed.[4][5][6] Some families have only been analyzed by one study (indicated by dashed lines).
