Edward Sarpei is a Ghanaian born footballer. He is currently retired.
Early life
[edit]Edward Sarpei was born on 25th June 1969 in Tema, Ghana.
Career
[edit]Edward started his foot ball career at the age of 15. His first professional appearance on the football field was in 1985 when he played for a team in Germany called Fc Kolin for their under 19. He continued to play for their adult team until July 1, 1994 when he made a free transfer to Vorwarts Steyr .
He played for about 18 football team before he retired in 2015. Teams like SC Rondorf, FC 08 Homburg, Yurdumspor Kolin, SSV Hagen, SG Worrigen, VfL Surth, SC Leichlingen, FC Leverkusen, SC Holweide [1]etc.
Edwards main position was left midfield but he also played attacking midfield and center-forward
Personal life
[edit]Edward Sarpei has a son by Kingsley Sarpei who is also playing for SC Fortuna Kolin
Edward also has a brother, Hans Sarpei ( Trainer scout SC Fortuna Kolin U19)
