Her goal was to reach 100 subscribers before posting any content, as this milestone was necessary to obtain a custom URL, which is a personalized and branded web address for her channel.[8]
At the time, YouTube required channels to meet specific criteria, including having at least 100 subscribers, being at least 30 days old, and having a profile picture and channel banner, to be eligible for a custom URL.[9] This custom URL is crucial for branding, as it allows for a simple and recognizable link, making it easier for audiences to find and share the channel.
