Sergei Aizikovich (born August 2, 1951 Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky) is a Russian scientist, head of the laboratory of functional-gradient and composite materials at Don State Technical University (DSTU).
Biography
[edit]Born into the family of a naval officer, commander of a torpedo boat formation, captain 2nd rank. He graduated from high school in the city of Rostov-on-Don.
In 1980 he received the scientific degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
In 2003 he received the scientific degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences[1].
Since 1974 he was a junior researcher, since 1979 - senior researcher, in 1993 - leading researcher at the Research Institute of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics of the Russian State University.
Since 2005, he worked as a leading researcher in the Department of Scientific Research of DSTU. In 2010, he headed the scientific and educational center “Materials”. From 2011 to the present, he is the head of the laboratory “Functional-gradient and composite materials”.
Scientific activity
[edit]The main directions of scientific work are contact mechanics and the mechanics of fracture of functionally graded deformable materials, mixed problems, integral equations of mathematical physics, inverse problems of the theory of elasticity for functionally graded media.
Aizikovich is the author of 5 monographs and more than 300 published works. He developed new methods for solving static mixed problems of the theory of elasticity and electroelasticity for functionally gradient media.
He is a reviewer of central international journals on mechanics from leading publishing houses:
