My name is Sergio Schnitzler (full name: Sergio Fernando Schnitzler Mondino).
Yio, pronounced /ʃiːɔ/, is the pseudonym I use since 80s and is the contraction of my surname SCHnitzler and my first name sergIO, since in many cities of Argentina the letter Y is pronounced like the German syllable SCH (part of my surname) or the English SH.
I had choose this pseudonym because of the complexity of my surname.
I live in Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina.
I was born in 1968.
My mother tongue is Argentinean Spanish. I also speak english.
Wikipedia was very useful to me, both English and Spanish versions.
For example, if I know the Spanish common name of a bird I search the Spanish Wikipedia so I can know its cientific name, which I search in the English Wikipedia so finally I know the English common name of that bird what is useful in my work.
