History
[edit]In Jan. of 2016, After finding out that the hear murmur EA released was an accident, combined with months of extensive perpetration and research and truly finding the undeniable demand for the game. Alex and Kameron Lewis, founded iMackulate Vision Gaming(IMV for short) wanting to tackle the task of reviving CFB gaming. Through crowdfunding The Lewis cousins are hoping to show potential partners the demand gamers have for college football, also the money raised will help them work on the game full time. Hoping to have a plan in place to keep "Gridiron Champions™" on pace to release in 2019.
The company spent much of early 2016 researching the feasibility of making a game, and they believed the current Kickstarter campaign will provide enough capital to get the project off the ground. IMV launched a crowdfunding campaign on Sept 2nd 2016, bringing the dream of its co-founders, cousins Alex and Kameron Lewis, one step closer to reality. The goal of the crowdfunding was $850,000 with a stretch goal of $2.5 million, with all funds being allocated towards hiring on an experienced full-time development staff, and secondly to secure licensing for universities to be featured in "Gridiron Champions™". At the end of the campaign on October 31 2016, IMV was able to fund 1% of the goal at $10,218.[2]
As of August 23rd 2017, IMV raised $65,912 towards the $850,000 goal, with a total of 1,264 insiders.[3]
On August 29th 2017, it was announced IMV Gaming had found a publisher for their college football project, Gridiron Champions; partnering with Big Ant Studios. Making an agreement to provide up to $2.5 million in funding and development help for the game. Big Ant will provide funding so long as the folks at IMV are able to fundraise their half of development funds. Currently, IMV is trying to raise $850,000 with a stretch goal of $2.5 million themselves to get funding for the development of the game.[4]
On November 11th 2017, Custom football glove manufacture Phenom Elite announced it was sponsoring in the game becoming the first brand to be in the game.
