Google search operators are filters used in the search engine to remove or display a selection of websites.

The operators have been used by researchers to find articles, but more publically have been known for cybercrime such as Google Hacking involving accessing unsecure cameras. Currently there are 44 known operators.

Operator Description
intitle: Filters for a keyword in the page title.
intext: Filters for a keyword in the page description or text.
before: Filters for a keyword before specified date or year.
after: Filters for a keyword after specified date or year.
inurl: Filters for a keyword inside a website url.
site: Filters for a specific website.
-"" or - Filters out websites with the specified word after the - or within the pararenthesis.
+"" or + Searches for websites with the specified word after the + or within the pararenthesis.
