I am Jerry Emanuelson from Colorado Springs, Colorado. I am a part-time science writer and a former electronics consultant with an engineering degree from the University of Colorado. I am now mostly retired (or, at least, trying to be). Much of my regular working career (and subsequent consulting) was involved in working at mountaintop radio and television transmitter sites. Before that, I was a test engineer for Ampex Corporation, mostly working with the manufacture and testing of professional audio recording equipment.
