Preliminary matches

[edit]

The first match to air live was a Three Way Tag Team match between the teams of Jay Lethal (Jamar Shipman) and Sonjay Dutt (Retesh Bhalla), Christopher Daniels (Daniels Covell) and Senshi (Brandon Silvestry)—known as Triple X and were accompanied by Elix Skipper—and Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley—known as The Motor City Machine Guns. Skipper interfeared on Triple X's behalf by placing Sabin on the top and ascending to the top of a padded turnbuckle to walk the top rope and jump up, grab Sabin's head with his legs, and pull to perform a hurricanrana. Lethal won the match by pinning Daniels with a pin attempt named a small package.

Raven (Scott Levy), who was accompanied by Havok (John Parsonage) and Martyr (Matt Bentley)—known as Serotonin—fought Kaz (Frank Gerdelman) in the following match. Before the match began, Raven stated that if Kaz shakes his hand and comes back to Serotonin than all is forgiven between the two. Kaz shaked his hand, however, soon hit Raven over the head with a kendo stick. Havok and Martyr interfeared on Raven's behalf during the match multiple times. Kaz won the match by pinfall after he kicked Raven in the face after bouncing off the ropes.

A Bar Room Brawl pitting James Storm (James Black), who was accompanied by Jackie Moore (Jacqueline Moore) , against Rhino (Terry Gerin) was the next bout. In a Bar Room Brawl, the participants fight under no disqualification rules and are encouraged to drink alcohol. After Rhino entered the arena for the match, he threw a steel chair at Storm, who was standing at the entrance ramp. His aim was off as it was throw seemly accidentally into the crowd by mistake. Storm was the victor in the encounter by pinning Rhino after bashing him over the head with a beer bottle.

The Latin American Exchange (LAX) pairing of Homicide (Nelson Erazo) and Hernandez (Shawn Hernandez) were pitted against The Voodoo Kin Mafia pairing of B.G. James (Brian Gerard James) and Kip James (Monty Sopp), who were accompanied by Roxxi Laveaux (Nicole Raczynski) in the fourth match. The match originally ended with Kip pinning Hernandez after Laveaux threw white powder into Hernandez's eyes. The match was restarted after Hector Guerrero told the referee about Laveaux's interference. Homicide pinned Kip with a pin attempt named a victory roll to win the match.

The next bout was billed as a Ultimate Humiliation match, in which the loser would be tarred and feathered. It was between Robert Roode, who was accompanied by Ms. Brooks (Tracy Brookshaw), and Eric Young (Jeremy Fritz).
