History

  • 2002 First season based in Arizona
  • 2003 Beach Series in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Arizona events became the Desert Series
  • 2004 Pacific Series in San Diego, California (one season only)
  • 2005 RTJT Series in Alabama (one season only)
  • 2005 Beach Series relocated from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to West Palm Beach, Florida; merged with Golden Bear Tour.
  • 2008 DFW Series based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas (two seasons only)
  • 2009 Beach Series suspended following the Spring Series[2][3]
  • 2010 Beach Series planned to resume withe a winter series[4]
  • 2011 California Series in Southern California in partnership with the Golden State Tour (one season only);[5] Desert Series became the Arizona Series; no Beach Series
  • 2013 Merged with All-American Tour following their acquisition by the National Pro Tour (www.nationalprotour.com).[6][7]; National Series introduced
  • 2014 Joint venture with NGA Pro Golf Tour (NGA Gateway Tour, East Coast and West Coast) announced in June 2014,[8] prior to that tour's acquisition by Golf Interact and rebranding as the SwingThought Tour in August 2014.[9][10]
  • 2015 Joint venture with eGolf Professional Tour (eGolf Gateway Tour in 2014–2015, East Coast and West Coast) announced in October 2014; in 2015, that tour was also acquired by Golf Interact and integrated into the SwingThought Tour following that season.[11][12]
  • 2015 Title sponsorship deal with OnCore Golf announced in September;[13] Joint venture with Golden State Tour (Asher Tour) in September 2015.[14]
  • 2016 Only one tournament seems to have been played (with just 33 entries) in 2016–17.
