Employee Protection Services LLC, aka EPS, is an American web application centered around prevention of workplace discrimination and unprofessionalism. Based out of Wilmington DE, EPS was founded in 2022 by the concept creator and CEO, Cory Shae.
The EPS web application offers employees the ability to record themselves during their time at work. This mechanism of action is designed to prevent workers from experiencing workplace racism, sexual harassment, false accusations, sexual orientation discrimination, or even child grooming of teenage workers. Since employees are able to record themselves, the likelihood of them experiencing such treatment is inherently reduced.
Members of EPS can use the service via their cell phone or their work computer. Recording functionality already exists within most hardware devices, or other software programs such as Teams or Webex, but EPS does not allow its users to access or review their own recording. If an employee wants to use their personal cell phone to video their meetings, they'd have access to the recording. They would have the ability to share that recording with unapproved parties, or could tamper with their evidence. By removing such access, EPS customers cannot tamper with their recording or share it with others. This inherently removes company and coworker concerns of potential recording leakage to unapproved parties. Instead, if a worker is victimized during their recording by a coworker, the user can send their recording to their designated company approved individual. Or, if their company cannot or will not hold that abuser accountable, the employee can then send their evidence to an EPS-approved employment attorney for representation.
Many small businesses cannot afford a Human Resources department. EPS offers an employee-funded resource for workplace protection.[1]
