advocacy request / complaint / problems with cycles articles and categories
[edit]I have made an entry http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Association_of_Members%27_Advocates/Requests/February_2007/RayTomes#Questions: which lists your user name. You are by no means the only person about who I am complaining, but I felt that the deletion of category:cycles was one of the worst cases because the vote count you give is so obviously wrong and because you (effectively) accuse me of using sock puppets. Please feel free to add your comments. Ray Tomes 02:17, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'd have closed the discussion the same way. There were sockpuppets voting, that is a definite. Who didn't say it was you, if you want to make that assumption, I believe that would be your problem. (Sorry, Who, but this is clearly a waste of your time.) --Kbdank71 04:25, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't understand this comment. The vote was actually 3 delete and 5 keep. It is recorded as 4 and 1. Where did the extra delete come from? It is claimed that only 1 vote for keep is real and the rest sock puppets. I know that my vote is real. Therefore if the rest are sock puppets I am most certainly being accused of making all the votes. Can you explain any other interpretation? In point of fact I know who several of the other voters are and they are certainly real people. The accusation of sock puppets is unfounded. The vote count adopted is unjustified. User:Kbdank71's remarks make no sense. Ray Tomes 20:15, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Therefore if the rest are sock puppets I am most certainly being accused of making all the votes Your logic is faulty. The correct statement would be "Therefore the rest are sock puppets PERIOD". Nobody, not Who, not me, are accusing you of sockpuppetry. Please stop making assumptions. Four deletes: Pjacobi, siafu, G Rutter, rodii. One keep: you. As noted, users that had very few edits were ignored (which, by the way, a year and a half after the CFD, three of the "keep" people still have two edits, and one of them have just one). Again, I myself, had I closed the discussion, would have done the same thing Who did. I hope my comments here make more sense now. --Kbdank71 12:10, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Fair use images on your space Part 2
[edit]Who, I know you have not edited since February, and that the fair use image on your user page is a symbol of your tribal ties. It does, however, violate fair use policy, in particular criterion #9, that "Fair use images may be used only in the article namespace." Would you please reconsider removing the image from your user page? —Iamunknown 16:50, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Toonami.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Toonami.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:17, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:Nick stahl public domain jpg.jpg
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Nick stahl public domain jpg.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:31, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Alisa_reyes_publicity.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Alisa_reyes_publicity.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:55, 9 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 12:55, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Nope sorry. Any subjective info can be found on their website. As for a crew list, this information is classified and not for public purview. If you or anyone else has posted or shared this type of information, this is a Federal offense and all persons involved could be criminally charged.

Operation COOKIE MONSTER
[edit]Proposed deletion of Alec Medlock
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Alec Medlock, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Regarding the editing of "Alternative Investment" article
[edit]Dear Wikipedia, I had edited the article "alternative investment" which was deleted regarding it as a marketing effort. I am a MBA student who came across the information while doing a research on hedgefunds and I wanted to share my knowledge with all. I had also taken the prior permission of the owner to mention the source of the reference article as it is a paid one. Please publish the article again as it was not a marketing effort. If there are any changes to be made before publishing it then please let me know. I will make those changes so that it does not violate the laws.

The article Trevor Blumas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No RS found - all I could find were minor mentions (generally in the form "starring a, b, c, Trevor Blumas, ..."). Unsourced for almost 3 years.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 10:47, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Emile galle.jpg
