"Sonvanger" (meaning the sun catcher) is a 2002 Afrikaans song performed by Valiant Swart, a South African musician, Afrikaans folk rock singer and songwriter. The song first appeared in Swart's 2002 album Maanhare.[1]
The song has been subject to a great number of covers[2] including by Corlea Botha [1], Jurie Els, Theuns Jordaan, Refentse [2] Laurika Rauch [3].
It was translated into Zulu by The Voice South Africa contestant Skhumbuzo Ndaba and interpreted during season 3 of the show in March 2019.[4]
