"The Rigga-Ding-Dong-Song" is a famous song by the German Eurodance/bubblegum group Passion Fruit and their debut single in 1999. An accompanying music video was released. [1] was also included in the group's collection of Spanglish Love Affairs released in 2000. It was one of the 5 finalists for "Dance Single of the Year" during Echoverleihung 2000 Awards
Charts
[edit]The song peaked at #9 in both Germany and Austria and #7 in Switzerland. It also charted in the Netherlands reaching #15.

Cherona version
[edit]Exactly ten years to the Passion Fruit release, the German Cherona, a pop group cast by the TV station Super RTL released its version titled "Rigga-Ding-Dong-Song" dropping the definit article "the" from the title. The Cherona version on Columbia Records accompanied by a music video[3] became a minor hit for them peaking at #36 in the German charts and #17 in the Austrian charts. The song appeared in the band's 2009 album Sound of Cherona.
