The lead describes Shakhas , which is Hindus theological schools dedicated to each Vedic book. The Lead of the article clearly describes the topic. However it does not include a description of the major sections. Nevertheless there are no information in the Lead that is not present in the body of the article. The Lead does appear to be a little bit long compared to the whole of the article so it could be argued that it is overly detailed.

The content of the article is relevant to the topic and since the topic concerns with ancient theological schools its hard to say that the content is not up-to-date. There are not contents that does not belong and everything mentioned in the Lead is sufficiently covered in the content.

In the talk page there are questions raised regarding the very definition of the topic: Shakhas. Not semantically but rather that the contents of the word Shakhas is contested. Aside from that, there are messages about the past edits. The article is a B-class article and is of low importance. It is part of WikiProject Hinduism. In regards to the way Wikipedia discusses this topic, it's accurate to say that in comparison to classroom discussion, there are more reference and depth behind the each claims and proposals.
