Deano Spicky AKA Spicky Valley

Deano Spicky aka Spicky Valley is a Welsh Comedian / Video creator from Pontypridd in the Welsh Valleys.

Deano creates videos, mostly voiceovers and music videos based on the Welsh Valley stereotype. Content has been around since 2009 and is mostly hosted on his website www.spickyvalley.com, youtube, odysee and facebook. In 2020 "spicky valley - The cartoon - car journey was created on youtube to bring all of the characters together. Each voice character prior was individually promoted with actual voiceovers of people, celebrities and movies.

Characters / Voices of Deano Spicky

Trecco Boy Trecco Boy is miserable young ginger boy that always speaks the truth or (says it like it is) He is the son of Blodwyn Poptyping. Trecco Boy is the most viewed character whicn almost 1 million views on facebook.

Gower Girl Gower Girl is a young surfer from Swansea, similar to Trecco boy in many ways only with double the energy which often results in double the insults

Johnno The Roider Johnno the Roider is a steroid using bouncer from the Welsh Valleys. Short tempered he despises skinny people. Often a bully, Johnnos character and image is inspired from John Kreese from the Karate Kid.

Steffan SoSkint Inspired from the sitcom - Cheap Pete/Chris Rock. Steffan is a Welsh cheapskate. Deano often uses this voice to do most of the parody songs such as Cov1d Cure, Mysterious Sl@g.

Benjamin Llewellyn Inspired by a local neighbour, Benjamin Llewellyn is a very dumb character from the Welsh valleys. Deano uses this voice for both male and female characters that lack any form of intelligence. Benjamin is the brother to Blodwyn Poptyping and lives with them.

Blodwyn Poptyping Inspired by the average Welsh Valleys mother. Blodwyn is the mother of Trecco Boy. Warm hearted but also strong Blodwyn always tries to lighten a situation. She is also has a high opinion of her singing ability which is often very good. Blodwyn is dating Johnno and is Benjamin Llewellyns sister.

History

  • Due to copyright youtube channel (spickyvalley) was taken down in 2013.. New Youtube channel (Deanospicky was created 2018
  • In 2015 Deano moved over from longer clips to mini clips on facebook page (spickyvalley) and youtube. Smaller clips are now collated in the series titled (Welsh Daft Shorts)
  • 2020 - resurgence of content. Due to the pandemic and lockdowns 2020 was the highest content output for Deano. This introduced parody songs and longer videos. Deano also started livestreaming where he created voiceovers with a live audience. The frequent followers that contributed to videos such as TAFF GUN which has 80 thousand views were placed into a group called (Deano Spickys Dream Team). Deano plans to return to livestreams but its currently on hold.
