Accounting Horizons is an academic journal published by the American Accounting Association that focuses on accounting articles that provide insights on the accounting profession.[1]

According to the Journal Citation Reports, Accounting Horizon's 2012 impact factor was 1.288, making it the 8th-highest-ranking accounting journal by impact factor.[2]

History

Accounting Horizons was first published in 1987 by the American Accounting Association (AAA) to relieve The Accounting Review of publishing articles that were less oriented towards mathematical analysis and empirical research.[3]
