Jackals is a 1980s stylized horror-thriller directed by Kevin Greutert, and produced by Tommy Alastra. [1] The film is written by Jared Rivit. [2]
Synopsis
[edit]Jackals is set in the 1980s, and stars Stephen Dorff as a cult deprogrammer who has been hired by a family to retrieve their estranged teenage son from a murderous cult. While deprogramming the boy, they find themselves under siege by the cultists who demand the boy be returned to them. [3]

Release and Distribution
[edit]Jackals was screened at Cannes film festival, introduced by Highland Film Group, where Shout! Factory and TAP INC purchased the rights to distribute the film throughout North America.[5][6] The film had made multiple appearances at horror film festivals, including Fright Fest at Leicester Square in London, and the Popcorn Freight Film Festival in Miami.
