Njawara Village, North Bank Region, The Gambia This is a village located about seven (7) miles from Kerewan, the regional headquarter of the North Bank Region. It had been founded and been in existence for at least a couple of centuries. It is listed as "Jowara" in some historical books and documents. It's main significance is it's strategic location on the River Gambia which made it serve as a key trading post during the colonial ear....
