James Papadimitriou (born 7 February 1994) is an attacking player, who currently plays for Victorian Premier League side Moreland Zebras.

Born in Melbourne, Papadimitriou joined Altona East Phoenix in 2009 and made his first senior debut at the age of 15-years. In 2010, he moved to Northcote City, and although he was a member of the club's successful youth side, scoring 14 goals in 10 games he failed to break into the senior team.

He remained there for just one season before being asked for a trial in Florence Italy for the highly rated club ACF Fiorentina. Papadimitriou was said to be the next big thing according to club coach Cesare Prandelli.

His trial was unsuccessful which brought him back to Australia to play for Whittlesea Zebras in the Victorian State League Division 1 in 2011. The club was very successful finishing in first position.For the year 2012 they were to be promoted to the Victorian Premier League under the new name of Moreland Zebras.

Papadimitriou represented the Victorian Representative State Team throughout his juniors. From ages 13-15 he was chosen consecutively in each State Representative Team receiving the best-and-fairest trophy in the year 2008. During the summer of 2009-2010 he participated in the Victorian Summer League scoring 10 goals in the first three games then could no longer play due to breaking his wrist. He still received the top goal scorer trophy at the end of the 14 game tournament.
