Selin Senol-Akin (August 8, 1984) is an Adjunct Professor of language education, political scientist, spoken word artist, short story writer, poet and author of the Scandinavian mystery, ‘The Catalyst’.

Born in Istanbul, Turkey, she’s been a New Yorker since the age of 7 years old and has obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University and Master’s degree from New York University. Aside from various political and human rights experiences, ranging from the United Nations Association and the Clinton Foundation, she's also always written creatively on the side since she was a young girl, obtaining several awards for her poetry since high school.

Her debut poetry collection, ‘Write Out Your Drops’, became a #1 Amazon New Release, as did her debut mystery/thriller, ‘The Catalyst’- soon to be rereleased as part of a trilogy under Our Galaxy Publishing. Selin is also an active advocate against wrongful incarceration and family separation issues. She currently lives in New York with her family and daughter, Dalya.
