Introductions: “Let It Snow” by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle wrote three holiday romance stories. All these authors worked together to make a great holiday romance stories that took a lot of hard work and cooperation from all these authors. “The Jubilee Express” by Maureen Johnson, “A Cheertastic Christmas Miracle” by John Green, and “The Patron Saint of Pigs” by Lauren Myracle.

Summary: In “The Jubilee Express,” author Maureen Johnson writes about a 16 year old girl named Jubilee Dougal who has everything such as a perfect boyfriend, is popular in school, and has a great personality. But everything changes when her parents are arrested because of a riot over a piece of miniature decorative house called the Flobie Santa Village. So now Jubilee has to go to Florida just before Christmas and in Florida she has her grandparents who live there but more disaster struck. Jubilee got stuck on the train with cheerleaders and a boy named Jeb because of a severe snow storm. Now she’s stuck in a place where she doesn’t know anybody and Jubilee tried to call her perfect boyfriend Noah but he wasn’t picking up because he was too busy. Jubilee has to go somewhere until the snowstorm is over and the train moves but she doesn’t know where to go. “A Cheertastic Christmas Miracle” by John Green follows the first story with Tobin and his friends Duke and JP. They are all watching a movie when another friend of their calls and tells them to come to the Local Waffle House. When they were going to the Waffle House their car broke halfway and they had to walk the other half way. But they needed a faster way to go there since they were competing with the Reston twins that were also trying to go to Waffle House. “The Patron Saint of Pigs” by Lauren Myracle follows the second story with a girl name Addie who is depressed because her boyfriend Jeb broke up. Addie tried to call Jeb but he wouldn’t pick up and so she thought he actually broke up with her and so she tries to change her appearance. Then Addie is asked by her friends to take care of Teacup who is a pig. She forgets about it and when she goes there to pick him up, he is not there. But she has to get Teacup no matter what happens.

Author's Craft and Style: Author Maureen Johnson writes in first person from the point of view of Jubilee. The author makes the purpose clear and the dialogues between characters make the story more appealing and interesting. Author John Green writes in first person from the point of view of Tobin. The author used wide vocabulary’s to make the story more vivid and makes a very detailed picture in your imagination. Author Lauren Myracle writes in first person point of view of Addie. Lauren used different tones to show how the character felt and it made the story more interesting.

Characters: Maureen Johnson portrayed Jubilee as a strong, brave, and intelligent girl. Jubilee is brave because when she had to make the phone call to her boyfriend to say she’s breaking up with him. She was brave enough to make the phone call and tell him. Jubilee is an intelligent girl because she’s smart and is really good at school. John Green portrayed Tobin as a intelligent and a brave guy. Tobin is intelligent because when the Reston twins were chasing them he hid until they left. He is a brave guy because he went back to get the twister even though the twins were there. Lauren Myracle portrays Addie as a determined, nice, and caring girl. Addie is determined because when she couldn’t find Teacup she forced the employer to give her the address of the person who bought it. Also, she is a nice girl because when her friend asked her to pick up Teacup she said okay. Addie is caring because she was worried why Jeb wasn’t at the place where they were supposed to meet.

Resolutions: Jubilee meets a boy name Stuart who tells her that she can go to his house while the storm passes and she agrees. Later on, Jubilee finds that her perfect boyfriend might not be perfect after all from the help of Stuart. Jubilee and Stuart become great friends. Tobin finds a faster way to go to Waffle House and they got their before the Reston twins and Tobin tells his true feelings to Duke who is a girl. Tobin and Duke became more then friends. Addie finds Teacup and she’s grateful for it. When Addie goes back to the restaurant where she works, she finds that Jeb got stuck on the train. Jeb and Addie reunite and everybody is happy.
