Pension Mission Mode Project
The Pension Mission Mode Project is one of the Mission Mode Projects [1] of the National e-Governance Plan [2] .
Project Details[edit]
This project is in the implementation stage [3] and the Pensioner’s Portal [4] is operational since March 2007.[5] The cost of the project is Rs 2.7 crore and the department responsible for it is the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare [6]. Disbursal of financial grants to several pensioner’s association, including All-India Central Government Pensioners Association, is also part of the project implementation.[3] [5]
Portal Features[edit]
The portal operates on three levels – the Central nodal level (Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare), Central Ministry/Department level and at the Pensioner’s Level or Pensioners’ Association level. [5]
On the Portal, the pensioners can search for circulars and notifications [7] and make calculations for pension [8] including that of post and pre-2006 pensioners along with gratuity and 6th Pay Commission arrears [9]. Another feature of the site is Grievance Redressal [10].
