- Donkey Kong - Killer List of Videogames put Donkey in third place for best game of it's time and twenty-fifth place in their top 100 games.
- Pac-Man - Killer List of Videogames put Pac-Man on first place on "top 10 most popular"
- Space Invaders - In 2007, Guinness World Records ranked the top arcade game. IGN listed as "Top 10 Most Influential Games".
- Pitfall! - IGN put Pitfall! at number one on the "Top 10 Atari 2600 Games from Activision".
- Super Mario Bros. - EGM has it on the top spot on their list of the 200 greatest games of their time. IGN had Super Mario Bros. as the greatest game of all time twice on their "Top 100 Games of all Time" (2005 and 2007). Nintendo Power has it in number four for the top twenty best NES Games.
- Super Mario Bros. 3 - Screwattack ranked it as the greatest Mario game of all time. Nintendo Power ranked it number six on their 200 greatest Nintendo games and number two for the top twenty best NES games.
- The Legend of Zelda - Game Informer placed first on their list of greatest games. Nintendo Power has it first in the top twenty best NES games.
- Contra - Nintendo Power ranked it number seven in the top twenty NES games.
