Derrick Jackson, known professionally as Derrick Jaxn is an American author and poet. He is the author of A Cheating Man’s Heart.[1] Derrick won recognition from Publishers Weekly for his poetry book I Still Want It.[2]
Early Life and education
[edit]Derrick Jackson, known professionally as Derrick Jaxn was born in Yonkers, New York and raised in Enterprise, AL. His mother gifted him with his first poetry book on his seventh birthday titled Falling Up by Shel Silverstein which inspired him to also write poetry.[3] Jackson graduated in 2012 from Tuskegee University with a B.A. in Sales and Marketing.
Career
[edit]Jackson began his professional career in 2013 as an author with his first self-published novel, ‘’’A Cheating Man's Heart’’’ which has gone on to sell over 120,000 copies worldwide.[4]
Jackson founded "Mentally Stimulate Me Card Game" in 2017 to help men and women supplement their date night conversations with more topics of substance.[5]
