Article Evaluation: I evaluated a page on the CPSS (Child PTSD symptom scale) I immediately noticed that the page was flagged as needing additional citation and verification but the talk page had not been edit since the original poster set up the page. Within the first paragraph of the article there is missing citations. There are missing citation on not only the scale but also on the symptoms of PTSD in general. The article does not talk about the symptoms of PTSD that the scale measures or ones that it potentially misses in depth and misnames the DSM 5, DSM V. The page largely uses 1 paper completed by the creator of the scale but does not include the updated research done to assess the reliability and validity with the DSM 5. While the citation links do work there are many missing citations on the page. The assessment section contains no citations at all and does not explain the table inserted in the page. There is no note of the potential bias present in studies completed by the creator of the scale. The article is part of WikiProject Psychology and Medicine. It was created by North Carolina Chapel Hill SCCAP Giving Away Psychology Knowledge class assignment (2016/2017).
Child PTSD Symptom Scale needed additional citations for verification. When reviewing the talk page it did not appear to have been edited since being created. I added a citation from a journal article published in Aug. 18 2017 that showed validity and reliability being established with CPSS using DSM 5 criteria because the page only mentioned DSM IV criteria but my edits were deleted.
