Peak Ski Company
[edit]Peak Ski Company is a ski manufacturer headquartered in Bozeman, Montana founded by Bode Miller, a six-time Olympic medalist and the most successful male American alpine ski racer of all time, alongside Andy Wirth, a veteran ski industry executive. Peak Ski Company focuses on designing and building skis for recreational skiers and reengineering the processes and machinery used to manufacture skis and snowboards.[1]
History
[edit]Peak Ski Company was founded in 2021 by Bode Miller and Andy Wirth, with the official launch taking place in April 2022. Miller brought his experience and insight from his career as a professional skier, while Wirth contributed his industry knowledge from years of executive roles in the ski resort sector.[2]
Founders
[edit]Bode Miller: Miller's career includes six Olympic medals, five World Championship medals (including four golds), 33 World Cup wins, 79 podiums, and two World Cup overall globes. He is the most successful male alpine skier in U.S. history, with his achievements placing him among the all-time international elite. Miller introduced shaped skis to the world with his early wins in the U.S. Junior Nationals and has continuously encouraged innovation in ski and boot design. He serves as Peak's Chief Innovation Officer.[3]
Andy Wirth: Wirth has a long-standing record of driving innovation and building high-performance teams. He has led multiple strategic acquisitions and transactions in the U.S. and abroad and has extensive experience in the private equity realm. Wirth has served as CEO for notable companies, including the $33.5B giga project NEOM in Saudi Arabia, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Ski Resort (now Palisades Tahoe), and Intrawest ULC. He has also helped build and lead companies in risk and security management.[4]
Headquarters
[edit]The company is headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, which includes the Peak Showroom, the company's offices, and the Development Group & Innovation Center. This facility hosts operations and the experimentation and innovation labs managed by Peak.

Technology Innovation
[edit]Peak Ski Company has introduced several technological innovations including:
The patented KeyHole Technology is an oval-shaped cutout in the top metal layer in the forebody of each ski, creating a proprietary flex pattern. This technology, discovered by Bode Miller during his racing days, helps skiers initiate turns more easily and gives them enhanced control, stability, and confidence.[6]
Introduced for 2024, PEAK Lôc8 is a wireless rechargeable locating and tracking device embedded within the skis. This technology allows users to locate their skis using a mobile device, compatible with both iOS and Android platforms.[7]
