This company is developing significant military equipment that is controvevcial. They also have affiliates and connections in the same areas as other companies of intrest (Ie. Xe Company, Tripple Canopy, Barrett Corp.)
The owner/leader of the company is historically relavant in his affliation with NASCAR and the defence industry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bashfulswd (talk • contribs) 20:06, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- There is nothing in the article to support the claims of Notability. An affiliation with an individual does not necessary provide notability for a company. The article is about the company, not the individual. ttonyb1 (talk) 20:10, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Please do not delete these or mark them for deletion. The content on these is legit, this is a real organization and company created by Jon Hellinga. I just wanted to write about them so that people know about them.
Thanks, Jonhellinga (talk) 03:12, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- No one contests that they are legitimate organizations; however, unfortunately these articles do not meet the test for Notability. Sorry... ttonyb1 (talk) 03:55, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
I don't understand why you tagged LOST BABIES to be deleted. It was FEATURED ON ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY'S WEBSITE! I realize that this form of entertainment (movie) was not released in theaters, but how much more references are needed? Nothing is a reliable source unless its a printed newspaper, but most of WIKI is more bogus than what you claim this page is.
in the meantime - what is this page? http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Eric_Fensler There are no article or references about this - it could be all made up, just like most of wikipedia. Please take back your suggestion for deletion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dgoodberg (talk • contribs) 17:18, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- As I indicated in the Prod tag, the film fails WP:MOVIE. In spite of what you feel, Notability can be established in electronic form; however, there are certain criteria the item needs to meet.
- I have moved this to a AfD to solicit further comments on the deletion.
- I am not sure what you are referring to concerning Eric Fensler. If you have concerns about the validity of the article and can validate your concerns, you are welcome to nominate it for deletion.
Software Imaging Entry
Hi, We have made some major edits to our original submission. I hope that the latest edits would allow removal of the notability deletion warning. Our company has had a significant impact in the history and growth of the printing industry. I would like to see the reference stay active. If not, can you please give me a bit more guidance on what may be required.
Thank you!

Whoah - I am watching you in action 'live'! Very impressive
SW2000 (talk) 00:13, 4 April 2009 (UTC) Kevin
- Thanks...
- I think the article is almost there. You need to finish up what I have started.
- Fix the links so the titles are correctly displayed.
- Move any links that can be to the article itself.
- Expand the article to focus on contributions to the industry.
- Give it a shot and I'll take a look at it tomorrow or the next day. (You might want to remind me.) I'll bet the tag will be removed then.
- Good luck... ttonyb1 (talk) 00:25, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the tutorial:). I cleaned it up and added a sentence or two. I can write more but if this is enough, I'll stop for now. Let me know if you feel it needs more on our contributions to the industry and if so, I can do some research on this. SW2000 (talk) 01:49, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Kevin
the artist known as Dead Poet
hi i been wondering why you deleted the page on the artist known as Dead Poet. his music is hard to find, actually any information is hard to find about him. i tried searching here in Wiki cause you guys have almost everything. when i saw that you guys didnt have anything on him either i decided to start the page. i should of mention it would be under construction, but you deleted it faster than i could log back in after the battery on my laptop died. so if no one can find anything about the artist here in wiki, my quetion is where else are they going to find it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Malkom veg (talk • contribs) 18:38, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for asking. To clear up a couple of things:
- I did not delete the article, I only nominated it for deletion.
- This is not a you guys vs. us guys environment. Wikipedia is a cooperative environment where anyone can make a contribution; however, these contributions have to meet certain criteria.
- The article you wrote did not meet the criteria for a person or band. Notability is important in establishing if an article will stay on Wikipedia. See WP:PEOPLE and WP:BAND for a further explanation.
- If you are going to recreate the article, I suggest you create it in a user/sandbox and when it is finished upload it to Wikipedia. Good luck...ttonyb1 (talk) 19:04, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Notability of a Company: Divison 1 Printing
What is considered "notability of a company" other than a subjective review of Wikipedia?
Tony —Preceding unsigned comment added by EquityPR (talk • contribs) 01:46, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Subjectivity has little to do with Notability. Wikipedia has numerous pages to help a new user understand what is required to establish Notability. Take a look at WP:COMPANY for the specifics related to establishing Notability for a company.
- If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know. Thanks... ttonyb1 (talk) 01:54, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Someone has effectively removed the page from its online site (by screwing up the certificate). If you're pretty sure that the whole page was copyvio, I'll delete it, since you've always been reliable at CSD. (Watchlisting) - Dan Dank55 (push to talk) 23:16, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I am absolutely positive. The cert is messed up, so I used a "throwaway" machine to access it and verity the copyvio. The text was almost exact and dated 2007 in its directory. Thanks for asking and confirming that I am on the right track with my CSDs. ttonyb1 (talk) 23:21, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Please do not delete my page for Casey McCabe. He is a new DJ on Amp radio, as well as he spent 1 year working for the world famous KROQ. If you look at the page for KLXS, he is listed as the airstaff, but he has no profile. He is a very good friend of mine, and if you have other DJ's (like Stryker) from that station on wikipedia, then it is only fair that he should have his biography on here as well. Unfortunately, he has not done any interviews that are available online for me to give as a reference, but I assure you, everything on there is correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SirRyRy (talk • contribs) 01:44, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

I understand the concerns about Notability, and I'm familiar with the concept, but am still having trouble determining what to include to clear this up. One example of a Wikipedia page I was looking at for an example of an upcoming book that doesn't seem to be having Notability issues is Giving Is Living... is theirs notable because the book was noted by an article on ArtSlant? The ArtSlant piece is wholly advertisement-like, with phrases like "The economic crunch is no match for this book—Giving is Living provides 101 easy ways to improve our lives. It’s simple: by doing good for others, we can feel great and begin to live our best lives." Given that the only other references are to sites sponsored by the book itself, Giving Is Living seems to have no other real Notability? I'm trying to understand what makes that book Notable enough to warrant and page but not Womenomics. The Wall Street Journal published an editorial by the authors of Womenomics on the topic of Womenomics, the inclusion of which in the page I though would increase the evidence for its Notability? Thanks so much for your help! Jocelynp85 (talk) 03:21, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
In addition to the WSJ editorial, ditto for the Reuters piece on flexible work schedules that's also in there now, citing one of the authors and referring to the upcoming book! Jocelynp85 (talk) 03:41, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yep, I just threw that last ref in there. It's not that common for a future book to have sufficient notability for a WP article, but I think this one is being talked about enough that we're good to go. I'm declining the speedy deletion. - Dan Dank55 (push to talk) 03:43, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
The Voice That Rocks
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Please do not delete my wiki entry on "The Voice That Rocks" I will add a source to my entry to show you the genuine proof that the documentary has almost completed production and is due for general release on 30th April 2009. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Krisisnow1 (talk • contribs) 12:58, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

I've undone this edit you made per MOS:IMAGES which states: "images should not be forced to a fixed size (that is, one that overrides the default)". I shortened it to provide only the "facts" surrounding the video's creation. The link to the video is of myspaces premeire of it. it has been getting ridiculous traffic- about 300,000 hits in 3 or 4 days. Yahoo, aol, perez hilton, mtv will soon follow suit. is this considered "notable"?

Dastoor (Poem) Deleted for copyright infringemnt
The above stated poem was deleted for blatant copyright infringement. The poem is a national poem in Pakistan, and therefore not the property of 'http://www.chowk.com/ilogs/71178/32030'or anyone else. The writer Habib Jalib was a communist and refused to get his poem copyrighted. The poem was freely published and distributed across Pakistan to thwart the militiary dictatorships of Ayub Khan and to a lesser extent against General Musharraf. Thus I request the page to be restored without delay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kalamkaar (talk • contribs) 09:52, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi again! Back in February, you prodded the article Mike Wozniak due to notability issues, and I de-prodded after locating sources proving notability. Succinct Problem Help!
Hello, I have noticed the page Succinct Problem exists as an "uneditable" item on the P=NP problem page however every time the page is created it is immediately deleted or at least it has been in the past. I would like to insist that if the term Succinct Problem is allowed to exist on the P=NP problem page that the Succinct Problem page also exist. If the Succinct Problem page indeed cannot exist on Wikipedia then it should be removed from the P=NP page. Thank you. Anonymousone2 (talk) 04:57, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Until the page is created in a form that does not violate copyright laws the article Succinct problem will be deleted. Please see WP:COPYRIGHT for more information. ttonyb1 (talk) 05:03, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
The Voice That Rocks
Hello Tony, I have edited the article to meet the Wikipedia standards. How does one go about removing the status above the Wiki entry? Is the article still up for debate? Thank you Krisisnow1 (talk) 17:26, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

The Cyprus Institute
Hi Tony, I've modified the article following your suggestion. the copyright on the cyi website mention that the text can be reused if not for commercial purposes. Also I would like to upload the two missing images, the logo and the seal, how can I do? cheers, Denis —Preceding unsigned comment added by Denics (talk • contribs) 18:03, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- I do not see where on the site the it indicates the reuse for non-commercial purposes is allow. Please see WP:PERMISSIONS for information about how to allow use of copyrighted material. In the meantime, I will have to reinstate the copyright tag. I suggest you put a hangon tag on the article with an explanation in the talk section of the article. If you can point to a statement in the site that specifically allows reuse for non-commercial purposes, I or someone else will remove the tag. Thanks... ttonyb1 (talk) 18:27, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- A better idea - I have looked at the article and it appears you have rewritten the first sections. I have removed the material after the first sections that appear to be copyrighted and I have not reinstated the Copyvio tag.
- When you provide the links to the use of material for non-commercial purposes in the talk page, please reinstate the removed material. If someone does re-tag it, do not remove the tag yourself, mark the message with a hangon tag and contact the "tagger". If you are not able to point to a link in the source material site, then please follow the instructions above to provide permission to use copyrighted materials. Mike Woznaik
Hi, Thanks for deleting my post on Mike Wozniak.
If you took the time to look at the references I used, you would have found out that it was all correct. Please edit my style - but do not acuse me of vandalism when it was so well referenced. This was my first attempt to help the Wiki experiment. I am too busy to rewrite the whole page again. It took me ages. I am very demoralised. Please return the content as it was and I will tone down the style if you wish.
Best wishes, RhysRhys H Thomas (talk) 19:21, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps I was a little quick to rollback the entire change you had made. The reason I had removed the text and assumed it was vandalism was the unreferenced section concerning his medical career and the change you made to Moustache. (The Moustache entry was clearly vandalism.)
- My intent was not demoralize you, but to help insure the quality of Wikipedia entries. You have my apologies. I will not reinstate all the text that was removed, only parts of it. The items such as his next scheduled appearance or Richard Herring comments are probably not appropriate for the article.
- BTW - Thanks for keeping this discussion very civil. It is a pleasure speaking with a rational person. ttonyb1 (talk) 20:04, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Eden Gardens
Can you explain the eden gardens thing? The original was deleted because it was a copyright violation but the template suggested starting a new article at the sub page, which I did. Why is that to be deleted too? I don't understand. Nick mallory (talk) 22:35, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, the latest article was not deleted, it was simple moved to your user space. The reason was it was named Nick mallory/Eden Gardens Temp, implying it was a test page moved to the main space before completion. This was further confirmed by the lack of independent third-party references to support the article.
- Take a look at the welcome in your talk page, in particular How to write a great article for more information concerning how to put together an article. ttonyb1 (talk) 22:43, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Hello--
Regarding Vuth learns to rock
"The film represents a unique accomplishment in cinema, is a milestone in the development of film art, or contributes significantly to the development of a national cinema, with such verifiable claims as "The only cel-animated feature film ever made in Thailand" (See The Adventure of Sudsakorn)[6]"
Since Vuth learns to rock is the first and only Cambodian rockumentary--wouldn't this suffice to be a milestone?
I mean...1) the *first*....2) the *only*...what else is needed? (especially as it has played at an Academy accredited fest in the US, the FL Film Fest) Pls reconsider the "fasttrack" to deletion, I did honestly think it was historically noteworthy, based on comments of viewers who had seen it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johncmorley (talk • contribs) 04:59, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Does this meet general notability guidelines or film Notability guidelines? Playing at a festival does not necessarily create Notability. Has the film won any awards that might make it Notable? BTW - the article is not fast-tracked, you have at least a week to get it up to Wikipedia guidelines. Just so you know, my intent is not to see it deleted, only to insure it meets Wikipedia guidelines. If I can give you a hand fixing this or if I can help in any way please let me know. ttonyb1 (talk) 05:13, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Regarding Lost in new mexico
Hi--
I was surprised to see that a standalone reference to Lost in new mexico: the strange tale of Susan Hero" (formerly known as Susan Hero, working title, but all with proper IMDB) would have been fast tracked for deletion, as it has been duly listed as a part of the Cinema in Cambodia page on Wikipedia for over a year http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Cinema_of_Cambodia
I agree that my first drafts of the article needed editing and clarification, which I have provided. I do believe, though, the the most substantial addition would be the fact(oid) that the movie is a "milestone" in that it was postproduced and finished in post-conflict Cambodia, and therefore it's one of the few post KR (Khmer Rouge) US-Cambodian film co-productions to be undertaken.
This is aside from the fact that the movie does have distribution, and does in fact have an IMDB.
Yea, it's a low budget indie film...but why talk about indie --or even guerilla--films on Wikipedia if rightful examples of these movies can't even be listed?
Thanks for reconsidering, I tried to clarify as best I could... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johncmorley (talk • contribs) 05:07, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- John, take a look as my comments for Vuth learns to rock. ttonyb1 (talk) 05:19, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying--
Sure, any suggestions to make more guideline-worthy (Vuth / LINM) appreciated...the fact is both films were made recently in Cambodia, which in itself is noteworthy given the very basic state of the industry there (aside from other items)
If you can provide any bullet points re: either that I can attempt to address, then I would clarify as best I could.
Regards,
JCM —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johncmorley (talk • contribs) 05:28, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Sure no problem. Again, take a look at the sections above. Focus on verifiable third-party coverage of the films. They will help establish Notability quickly - beware that blogs, Youtube, etc. generally do not fit this. How about awards for either movies or coverage about film making in Cambodia related specifically to the films. ttonyb1 (talk) 05:33, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

This article has been tagged for speedy deletion because it seems to have come from another website etc. However, I am the owner of The Land of Muggy copyright: and also The Surkling copyright. And if some of it has come from another website in part probably, if at all, then it is because I own that particular website or have given permission. I have supplied some websites that link from this article as a way of providing varification and more information. I have given permission to various websites, who may have even written a review based on material I have supplied. Some of the sites that have permission are: Triond. Amazon: Lulu: AuthorsDen etc. Given the fact that land of Muggy articles and information is widespread on the web, it is likely that some articles or parts might have been duplicated. So leave it on plaese while I construct a replacement.

Updates regarding Lost in new mexico
Hello--
I have gathered what I believe to be notable links to coverage for "Vuth Learns to Rock":
1) ORLANDO SENTINEL (Coverage of 2009 Florida Film Fest by critic Roger Moore, where the movie was invited to screen in its North American premiere):
2) FLORIDA FILM FESTIVAL - an "A" level, Academy accredited fest, by the way
Coverage and description in their program:
http://www.floridafilmfestival.com/2009/04/vuth-learns-to-rock.html
3) IMDB--> http://farm.imdb.com/title/tt1408338/
4) PHNOM PENH POST
This is in addition to the other info, ie, that 1) it's the first Cambodian rockumentary and 2) it's the *only* Cambodian made rockumentary, to date.
Not sure what further degrees of clarification are required (or realistically possible) at this point,

Joshua has appeared in a number of television programs, he was in over 20 episodes of family affairs, 1 episode of doctors and a film. He's also been in numerous amateur productions with well-known drama groups. His co-star from Family Affairs (Leah Coombe) who is of the same age and has equal experience in the field has a wikipedia page. This page was a first draft and will be updated once it has been verified by Joshua, at the same time I will make any ammendments you see fit, however he is definitely eligible to have a wikipedia page, he has pages on similar websites including imdb. I'm not quite sure I understand what I need to add to make this more viable in reference to that Creative post. Would criticism do? I have positive and negative criticism of Infernal Madici in a few hard copies over here - newspaper reviews mainly. Would these suffice? I can't find anything else on the internet apart from his web-site. Thanks for your time. Nomanofmode (talk) 02:53, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- The section states, "The person has created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, that has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews." I am no expert as far as poetry goes, so i will ask is it a "a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work" and can that be substantiated? Is the work "...[the subject] of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews?'" If so, provide references that point to that text. BTW - You need to make sure the references all work. ttonyb1 (talk) 03:05, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- It also says "has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition" - it was part of the Royal Literary Exhibition in Somerset House, London "has won significant critical attention" - The Independent, The Metro and The Times, and "is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums, or had works in many significant libraries" - from the Oxford University Library to Konigsberg gallery, Russia (where his ancestry comes from). I see someone deleted the article without giving me chance to type this. *Sigh* Nomanofmode (talk) 03:19, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hang in there. What I would do is ask the person that deleted the article to copy the article to a User/sandbox so you can work on it. Add the correct references, including the refs to exhibition and critical attention and when finished, upload it to the main space. Good luck... ttonyb1 (talk) 03:25, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks Ttonyb1. I'm not sure I understand exactly what that means but I'll do it! Take care. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nomanofmode (talk • contribs) 12:12, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- I am sorry, I should have been more specific. You or an admin can create a "sandbox" that is a subset page of your User page. It would look something like User:Ttonyb1/test_article_Tim_ Grayson. You can create and edit that page without having to worry about it getting deleted.
- Sorry for the confusion and good luck. ttonyb1 (talk) 15:31, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
CSD "UserBrudder Andrusha/Sandbox"
That would have been CSD R2, because the Redirect goes into another Namespace. I moved the page and a typo occurred. Sorry about that. --Riotrocket8676 You gotta problem with that? 16:40, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Relentless7
TTonyb1, I was actually in the process of updating the Relentless7 article and formatting the references when you started editing it, but since I gotta leave soon, I'll let you take over. Thanks for the effort. Here's hoping this version won't be speedy deleted like the last.
When Jesse and Jordan were still with Oliver Future, I discussed the band's notability under WP:BAND with admins, who agreed that OF was sufficiently notable. I started creating a page for them, only to learn of the schism before I finished. I don't know your interest, but if you are familiar with OF, they have been resurrected as a power trio, and could use a page of their own.
Oh, could you please add a link to the album's amazon.com pre-order page as a source? Thanks.Carlaclaws (talk) 17:07, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi Tony, hope you don't mind but I've declined the speedy on Aoife Madden, as playing lead in an RSC production seems quite an assertion of notability to me. ϢereSpielChequers 23:08, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Not at all and thank you for the message. I was a little reluctant to mark for CSD because of this; however, I was concerned the lead was not adequate because I was only able to find a single reference to the play and her part and that was in the theater's website. Thanks again for the message and enjoy the day/evening. ttonyb1 (talk) 23:15, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks and a good whatever your timezone is to you too. It might not survive an AFD but the test for a speedy is whether importance or significance are asserted. I did come close to replacing the speedy tag with {{Notability}}. I found a minor film role and a very minor tv role off imdb, and culled some hyperbole from the article. But there are now two newbies working on it so I'm minded to give them a bit of time and some hints. ϢereSpielChequers 23:45, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Cyclone Airways is a legistimate non-schedules airlines in the Philippines, operating for about 15 years now in the northern Luzon area. Although, it has been in existence for long now, it has remained unpopular due to its choice of business model - that of catering a niche market in Cagayan Valley and Ilocos regions.
Its subsidiary airline Batanes Air is also hoping to exploit Batanes as a tourist destination in the Philippines.

- I see now. It may be a legitimate airline, but it appears to fail Notability guidelines for a company. ttonyb1 (talk) 13:41, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Hello. Yes, it's acceptable to mark a page with a speedy tag if the criteria apply, even if it's currently under discussion at AfD. Just remember to mention that in the AfD discussion (which you did) in case another editor disagrees with the speedy-tagging. ... discospinster talk 16:12, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Hi ... what additional information is needed to get this page unmarked for deletion? Mark Cowan (talk) 03:10, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Mark, sorry you are having a difficult time with the article. As someone that has had articles deleted, I know how frustrating it can be.
- It appears that the company fails to meet the Notability for Companies guidelines. The guideline states that, "An organization is generally considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability. All content must be verifiable." It there anything that specifically provides Notability for them? An award for the s/w or an award for best new company or product, etc. How about extensive news coverage? ttonyb1 (talk) 03:19, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Tony, Not frustrating at all ... just navigating perception. I do admit it seems that there are some company pages that seem to satisfy the criteria with different levels. There is news coverage of this company.

speedy deletion of article about Sebastian Deledda
Hello,
Yes, this is my first article, and when first submitted it had external links to copyrighted material as references. I received a notice of possible speedy deletion, removed the offending links and reposted the article. It was then removed under A7 - not a notable subject. Maybe I'm not writing the article correctly, but the subject (Sebastian Deledda)is a notable musician and film maker, with listed sources and television coverage, as well as the owner of the record label that signed and recorded other 'notable' Wikipedia subjects (Lucid Druid, Noah Deledda.) I'd really like to get this right, as it is my goal to have a few articles written about musician/film-makers (like Sebastian) who have recently released quite popular works. Please advise. Thank you,
William Brainard Antiprise (talk) 18:37, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- William, sorry you are having such a problem getting your first article on Wikipedia.
- It looks as if the article was deleted because it used copyrighted material without documented permission from the author of that originally created the material.
- 10:53, 22 April 2009 NawlinWiki (talk | contribs) deleted "Sebastian Deledda" (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement of http://www.last.fm/music/Sebastian+Deledda)
- Removing the references to the original work does not remove the copyrighted status of the article; however, there are a couple of things that can be done to remove that issue. The article has to be rewritten in your own words. I would suggest using at least two resources about the artist and pick up ideas form both sources. If you reformulate the thoughts in your own words there should not be an issue associated with copyrights for the material. Take a look at Using copyrighted work from others for more information.
- Once that is no longer an issue you need to make sure the individual meets the Notability guidelines. Take a look at WP:MUSIC for more help with this.
misunderstood what deletion due to copyright violation meant - Sebastian Deledda Bio
Hi Tony, Thanks for the reply. Turns out I misunderstood what the 'copyright violation' was. I thought the violation was a result of my adding a link to a copyrighted website. But according to your reply, it was because the article I submitted had the same wording as the subject's biography on last.fm. Well, it should, because I wrote the one on last.fm. The 'copyrighted' words I was accused of using are my own. How should I document that and avoid being flagged for quick deletion? Also, the external links used as references are the same external links used in other Wikipedia articles about projects that Sebastian is involved in, and that his own company owns (Lucid Druid and Givingtree Music.) Is it permissable to include those links as references? What about Last.fm? Their site is the perfect catalogue of the discography I mention in the article. As for notability, Sebastian's "Criminals For Gun Control" videos have had millions of viewers, have been licensed to law enforcement agencies for inclusion is concealed weapons training courses, and are currently stimulating healthy debate (and controversy) internationally (and on talk radio in the US), as they have been illegally copied and are hosted on hundreds of websites in several countries. I just want to be sure that if I repost the article that I won't be flagged as someone abusing the system - I really want to get this right.
Thanks,

Do be careful about providing verifiable, independent, third-party references to support the article. Additionally, be sure to read the section on no original research. Festival of Dead Deer
Just a friendly note on Festival of Dead Deer. I'm doubtful that this band is notable, but I declined the speedy because I'm not convinced this is straightforward, and the whole thing might be better off at AfD. The first question that needs to be answered is whether their label Three One G is notable. The second question is whether the successor band, Moving Units, is notable. And the third question is assuming FDD isn't notable, should it be merged into one of those two articles. So in short, be my guest to take this mess to AfD. :) --Fabrictramp | talk to me 19:08, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

speedy deletion of article about Beastmix
Hello. It appears my article on popular music artist 'Beastmix' was deleted without a chance for me to edit it. The article was about a significant artist and the length and validity of the post is clear to see. Beastmix has thousands of fans worldwide(which can easily be proven) and therefore, I believe, that this article was mistakenly removed. This was also my first wiki article.
Thank you. Simon —Preceding unsigned comment added by Beastmix (talk • contribs) 20:39, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Simon, Thanks for contacting me for help. The article failed to establish Notability for the band and therefore it was deleted. Take a look at the section I just referred to in the last sentence. Unfortunately, there are specific guidelines that need to be followed in order to establish Notability. Having "thousands of fans" does not necessarily establish Notability.
- When you are ready to try again, I suggest you create it in a User/sandbox and when it is ready for "primetime" move it to Wikipedia.
- I have left you a welcome section on your talk page. Take a look at the links in that section for help in creating your first article. Good luck... ttonyb1 (talk) 21:16, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Attempting to use information copyrighted by my own company
My two article posts on Mark L. McDonald and the McDonald Family have been flagged as copyright infringement even though that information (found on rynersonobrien.com) comes from my own company's (Rynerson O'Brien Architecture, Inc.'s) research. The information has been posted on Wikipedia with the expressed verbal consent of the principals of the company from which the text was taken (rynersonobrien.com). Anyway to restore?
Hi Ttonyb1,
I found that the article "Empower Technologies" I have created was deleted. The reason is "G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion: G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement of http://www.empowertechnologies.com/downloads/Empower_corp_bro_0902.pdf". Actually I am the owner of the text in Empower_corp_bro_0902.pdf. I am willing to allow Wikipedia to use the text and don't mind people editing it. Can you advise is there anyway to restore this article?

How do I remove myself from Wikipedia?
I am trying to find out how to have my userid and materials removed from Wikipedia InternetFoundation (talk) 23:19, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
- I am not sure how one would have a userid removed. This would probably be accomplished by a Admin or the alternative would be to stop using it - if unused, no one else could apply for the name. As for material, if it is a new page, you can blank it and it will be deleted at some point in the near future. If the page is not new and is not a copyright violation, this is something that would have to be answered by an admin. Sorry you are frustrated with Wikipedia. ttonyb1 (talk) 23:29, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Kai Bo Food Supermarket
"Kai Bo Food Supermarket" is one of the largest chain supermakets in Hong Kong. You don't know what the company is, but this may not be unimportant! I also have source to support the article. Ricky@36 (talk) 05:39, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- First of all , I did not delete the article, I only nominated it. The nomination was reviewed by an admin and they considered the nomination as valid for the specified criteria. The article was not deleted because I am not familiar with the company, it was deleted because it failed to meet the criteria set forth in WP:COMPANY. If you can meet the criteria the article should stand. Good luck... ttonyb1 (talk) 16:10, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- The criteria is just defined by the people who deleted the passage. I have written more than hundreds of articles related to the companies and the styles are similar. Could you specify why a similar article "Yu Kee Food" are not requested to be deleted by you, but Kai Bo Food Supermarket can be deleted? What's your (or Wiki's) requirements? Ricky@36 (talk) 00:23, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- I am not exactly sure what you are getting at. Your statement that the people that deleted the article are the same that developed the criteria is not factually correct - the criteria was defined by all users of Wikipedia, not just admins. I believe you are asking why I did not nominate Yu Kee Food be deleted? If so, it is very simply that I cannot nominate something that I have not reviewed. The criteria for nomination and the one that I used to nominate the article is the criteria I listed above - WP:COMPANY. ttonyb1 (talk) 01:00, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Good evening,
This is my first article and I don't understand why/ where you have found copyrighted material?
Is it because of the newspapers I have used for the references?

Please explain me so as the whole text can appear. Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by Usevenstar (talk • contribs) 03:30, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Oh yes, you're right. This material was written by myself in my own blogg. Sorry, it is just because i thought I could use the text from my blog.
Will it work if I say more or less the same thing but not the same way??
