Wyatt Matthew Halliwell is a fictional character on the WB television series Charmed. Charmed is a series which focuses on three good witches, the prophesied "Charmed Ones", sisters who battle the forces of evil. In present day scenes, infant Wyatt is portrayed by twins Jason and Kristopher Simmons from the fifth season through to the series finale. As an adult, in flashforward and in time travel stories, Wyatt is portrayed by actor Wes Ramsey in four episodes.

In the series' narrative, Wyatt is the son of Charmed One Piper Halliwell (Holly Marie Combs) and her husband Leo Wyatt (Brian Krause), her Whitelighter (a witch's guardian angel). Wyatt is himself the prophesied Twice-Blessed Child, a being of unimaginable power. He is the first born of a Charmed One, the first male born to his line in generations, delivered under special astrological circumstances, and an inheritor of Whitelighter abilities. He is considered to be one of the most powerful witches ever to walk the earth. The character's storylines focus on trying to avert a future in which Wyatt uses his vast powers for evil, and in present-day stories where Wyatt's playful and often unconscious uses of his abilities cause serious repercussions for his mother and aunts.

Magical powers

In Charmed it is revealed that magical witches can develop and master a variety of magical skills and powers which include; scrying, spell casting, and brewing potent potions. As a magical witch Wyatt can utilize scrying, a divination art form that allows one to locate a missing object or person. Wyatt can also cast spells, often written in iambic pentameter or as a rhyming couplet, to influence others or the world around him. He can also brew potions, most often used to vanquish foes or to achieve other magical feats similar to the effects of a spell. As a witch Wyatt has also developed a number of magical powers which include Telekinesis and Telekinetic Orbing.

Whitelighter powers

In Charmed a Whitelighter is a human soul that has been made a "guardian angel" for good witches and other future Whitelighters (also known as a Whitelighter's "charge"). A Whitelighter acts in the service of The Elders who bestow these souls with their new angelic powers. Because Wyatt's father, Leo Wyatt, is a Whitelighter, he has inherited a number of powers associated with this race of guardian angels which include Orbing, Sensing, and Healing.

Orbing

Wyatt enters the series with the ability to orb, which is a teleporting ability unique to Whitelighters as it allows them to travel between various supernatural worlds, including the magically guarded realm of The Elders often called "Up There" in the show.

Sensing

Wyatt displays the ability of sensing, a supernatural power which grants a Whitelighter a magical awareness of a charge's location and physical well being.
