Castor 4B is a target launch vehicle consisting of one Castor 4B solid propellant stage, same motor as used on Maxus sounding rocket, Castor 4 with thrust vector control (TVC). MRT-1 uses the same solid rocket motor, but adapted to be air launched by dropping from C-17 transport aircraft. IRBM tested on 12 December 2019 from Vandenberg AFB also used Castor 4B.[1]

LV-2 and LV-3 are modified Trident C4 SLBMs used as target launch vehicles. LV-2 uses first and second stages of Trident, while LV-3 uses two first stages and the second stage. LV-3 has not been launched yet.[4]
