Park complex of the history of technology. K. G. Sakharov Is a Museum in Tolyatti.

History of the Museum began in 1998. Then, following the initiative of Vice-President of JSC AVTOVAZ K. G. Sakharov, in the city hall of Togliatti, adopted a resolution On the resolution of JSC AVTOVAZ design Museum of technology.

5 October 2000 the Board of Directors of AVTOVAZ decision on the establishment of a Technical Museum of the JSC AVTOVAZ was approved. Then began the construction of the Museum and Park complex

7 September 2001, the Technical Museum of the JSC AVTOVAZ opened. After the death of K. G. Sakharov Museum was named in his honor.

In September 2014, the Museum became municipal under the Department of culture of administration of Togliatti city, changing the name to Park complex of the history of technology named after K. G. Sakharov

Exposure

The Museum houses more than 460 various exhibits showing the development of the automotive, armored, aviation, rail equipment, and missile and artillery and naval weapons.

Weapons

The Museum contains models of various weapons since the I and II world wars. This Bastion of guns and 122 mm howitzer M1910/30, Soviet tanks T-34, IS-3, Т-70, Czech tank «PzKpfw 38t», Katyusha rocket launcher, self-propelled artillery ISU-152, Bofors 40 mm gun and other exhibits.

Submarine B-307

Среди образцов современной военной техники можно увидеть вертолет Ми-24, дистанционно-летательный аппарат «Пчела-1ТМ», самолёты МиГ-29 и МиГ-31. Артиллерия представлена самоходными установками «Акация», «Гиацинт» и «Пион», а также зенитной самоходной установкой «Шилка». Бронетехнику представляют танк Т-80 и боевые машины десанта.

Особого внимания заслуживает подводная лодка Б-307, доставленная в музей с места службы целиком. Лодки данного проекта являются одними из наиболее крупных в мире серийных дизельных подводных лодок.
