Maria Kliegel's Discography consists of albums containing a cross-section of cello literature. It consists of solo, chamber, cello and orchestral works from eras ranging from the Baroque to premieres of contemporary music. A significant number of these have been released on the Naxos label, selling over a million copies worldwide. The composer Alfred Schnittke described Maria Kliegel's interpretation of his concerto as reference. Many of the recordings were made on the Stradivarius cello ex Gendron, which Maria Kliegel played for 16 years.

== Awards and nominations ==

She received two Grammy Award nominations: for her recording of J. S. Bach's Cello Suites and Z. Kodály's solo works. The 2018 album Voyages Sonores with Olivier Triendel received nominations for the Opus-Klassik and International Classical Music Awards. The album, featuring the repertoire of Alfred Schnittke, was selected as Fonoforum magazine's album of the month.
