FrogTape is a brand of painter's tape.
History
[edit]FrogTape was first unveiled in May 2007 at the National Hardware Show. In 2009, Shurtape Technologies acquired the patent and trademark for FrogTape in Canada, Europe, and the United States.[1]
According to Inspired Technologies co-founder David Wagner, the tape's name came from the green color of the tape, which an employee noted was similar to a species of tree frog.[2]
PaintOver Challenge
[edit]FrogTape holds an annual Paintover Challenge in collaboration with Taniya Nayak, a television personality.[3]
