The Iowa Administrative Procedure Act (IAPA), which is Chapter 17A of the Code of Iowa, establishes the framework for adoption and implementation of administrative rules promulgated by departments and agencies of the Executive Branch of the State of Iowa. The IAPA was adopted in 1975.
The law covers adoption, enforcement, and adjudication of disputes under the regulatory authority of agencies of the State of Iowa.
