Ph.D. student at Louisiana State University in the Department of Civil Engineering, emphasis in Environmental Engineering, studying biological processing of waste treatment in both aqueous and gas phases. More specifically, the research for my doctoral dissertation includes characterization of novel microbial degradation pathways for remediation of groundwater contaminants at Petro-Processors of Louisiana Inc. Superfund site north of Baton Rouge, LA. In terms of formal course work, I have completed numerous courses in water and wastewater treatment, as well as air pollution control. I am familiar with a variety of software packages for modeling remediation, wastewater, and air dispersion including BIOSCREEN, GPS-X, and AERMOD. Furthermore I have a special interest in the use molecular based tools for applications to current and artifact waste treatment and cleanup.
