Hi all, As a part-time genealogist/historian based in Perthshire, Scotland, I have wide experience of the history of Scottish families, Clans & lands, especially Perthshire, but also Borders, Midlothian, Fife. I have access to a wide range of sources that are not yet available online.
I am interested in contributing to The Clans Project, but as a newbie, I could sure use some help from other editors, especially those involved in the Project.
My interests on the family front are mainly:-
Maxton, Russell, Graham, MacGregor, Cowe, Anstruther, Oliphant, Murray, Drummond, Rattray etc.
Other minor local families include:-
Oure, Baldie, Bonthron, Keay, Bisset, Heriot, Dewar, Gardiner, Christie.
Other interests include:-
Romans in Perthshire, Perth & Strathearn history, landed estates, Whisky distilleries, music & instruments, old fishing tackle, maps.
