  • Last league championship won by an English manager was in 1991–92, by Howard Wilkinson. Currently 80, he is the only Englishman alive with a league trophy.
  • Last FA Cup won by an English manager was in 2008, by Harry Redknapp.
  • Redknapp (77), Joe Royle (75), Bobby Gould (78), Ron Atkinson (85), Keith Burkinshaw (89), Lawrie McMenemy (88) are the only six living English FA Cup winners.
  • Redknapp won in 2008 with Portsmouth, Royle in 1995 with Everton, Gould with Wimbledon in 1988, Atkinson twice with Man Utd (1983, 1985), Burkinshaw twice with Tottenham (1981, 1982) and McMenemy in 1976 with Southampton.
  • Last League Cup won by an Englishman was in 2004, by Steve McClaren coaching Middlesbrough. He is now 63, and managing Jamaica.
  • Other living Englishmen with League Cups are Brian Little (70) who won in 1996 with Aston Villa, Roy Evans (76) who won in 1995 with Liverpool, Ron Atkinson (85) who won in 1991 and 1994, Tony Book (90) who won in 1976 with Man City, John Barnwell (85) who won in 1980 with Wolves, and Ken Brown (90) who won in 1985 with Norwich City.
  • Last English manager to manage a team in the FA Charity Shield was also Redknapp, in 2008. With Portsmouth, he lost against Ferguson's Man Utd. Last Englishman to win the Charity Shield was Royle in 1995, with Everton against Blackburn Rovers led by Ray Harford (which was also the last all-English Charity Shield).
