Lead:

[edit]

I think that your lead does a good job at giving a quick overview of the topic. It is fairly short, but I'm not entirely sure what else you could add to it without cutting into the body of article. An image in the lead of your article would be a strong addition.

Content:

[edit]

The content in the article is up-to-date and seems to cover all of the important aspects of sassafras. Once again, I think some images here would really help to illustrate the texture and look of the soil. I think that added some dates (if possible) to the history section would help to put it in context a little more.

Tone and Balance:

[edit]

This is a very neutral article, and I think that adding the portion about the limits of sassafras really helps to keep the article neutral.

Sources and References:

[edit]

Your sources all seem reliable, and you have a good amount of them. The links all work.

Organization:

[edit]

I think that your article is well organized, and it flows well. The way you have broken it down into difference sections makes perfect sense.

Overall:

[edit]

Overall, I really like your article, and I think adding images would make for really strong additions.
