About me

Hi, welcome! I am Tiago, a life scientist and Wikimedian in São Paulo, Brazil. I have recently received my PhD at the University of São Paulo, working with Wikidata and the ontological modeling of concepts related to cell types. I have lots of fun coding, building software, and wrangling structured knowledge. I find the life sciences to be exquisitely beautiful and believe in open knowledge as a tool for happier lives.

I'm Tiago Lubiana, a Wikimedian and life scientist based in Brazil, currently a Wikimedian-in-Residence at the Biodiversity Heritage Library.

I have graduated in Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (2014-2017), and got a MSc in Bioinformatics in the same university (2018-2020). I'm pursuing a PhD on modeling of biomedical concepts related to cell types on Wikidata (grant #19/26284-1, São Paulo Research Foundation) .

I am most active on Wikidata and on the lusophone wikipedia.
