Nicholas W. Thompson is currently a Postdoc at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He completed his PhD in Nuclear Engineering in the Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering Department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Originally from Long Island, New York, he also received his Masters of Engineering and Bachelors of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in December of 2011. He is involved with many organizations, including the American Nuclear Society, where he was President from 2012 to 2013 of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Student Section of the American Nuclear Society, and the Nuclear Engineering Student Delegation, which he was a Delegate of in 2012, a Co-Vice Chair in 2013, and the Chair in 2014.
Nicholas Thompson was a member of Dr. Yaron Danon's research group. He dabbles in editing Wikipedia.
