Simon B. Laughlin

Simon B. Laughlin (born 1947) is an emeritus professor of Neurobiology in the Department of Zoology at the University of Cambridge, UK. [1] He is a prominent neuroethologist whose research focuses on studies with insects including flies and modeling of human and rodent brains. He has made several key contributions regarding structure, function, and evolution of the visual system, insect visual systems, and energy efficiency and expenditure in neurons.
