I'm a Chinese, Roman Catholic student at Rice University. I somewhat maintain my blog, Pax Asiana. I don't contribute to Wikipedia often, but sometimes I come across articles that might need my help.

Gaming

[edit]

Note: This section is pretty outdated since I haven't been doing too much of this recently at all, except Go, maybe, but even so I haven't been playing too much of that either.

I usually play PC games online with friends. Currently we typically play Unreal Tournament 2004, WarCraft III (usually custom maps), and StarCraft (usually only melee maps). I also play a good amount of Go (board game), but I don't think I play enough. Having started to learn some Go seriously around the beginning of August, I aimed at becoming 19kyu by the end of December 2005. I surpassed my goal and reached 18kyu. After KGS changed their rating system, I went up to 9k?. I'm now 8k. If you want to play against me on KGS, my account name is Macro.

I play consoles mostly only for their multiplayer-party aspects.

I want a Wii (upcoming Nintendo console). If you think the name's horrible, please see this article I wrote on my blog about it.

Minor Non-Anonymous Contributions to Wikipedia

[edit]
  1. Armin van Buuren - Corrected a little grammar
  2. Trance - Slightly edited the disambiguation page, because trance music is independent from techno
  3. Go (board game) - Updated / modified the URL to the Kiseido Go Server
  4. Cistercian Preparatory School - Added Curriculum section, edited what the acronym SAT stands for, minor typos
  5. Red Steel - Just removed the "the" preceding "Nintendo" in the first paragraph, because Nintendo the company doesn't need a definite article...
  6. Cistercians - Added Zirc Abbey (and without logging in fixed the name of Our Lady of Dallas Abbey)
  7. Cascade - Added that Cascade is an alias of Transa
  8. Transa - Added link to discogs
  9. Duke University - Reverted the page to previous state to combat inane vandalism
  10. Electronic dance music - Made lowercase "of" in A State of Trance to direct to proper article
