A Choism is a nonsensical saying unique to the character Cho Teko from the webcomic No Need for Bushido. These usually convey a basic truth, or bit of sagely advice. Although the Character Cho will on occasion attribute the Choism to someone else, it would seem that he, in fact, misquotes the original proverb.

A Choism usually contains at least two of the following elements

Odd animal references Out of context everyday phrases ("dinner will be ready in five minutes") Erroneous comments stated as fact ("The shortest distance between two lines is a strait point") Implausable situations (Elephants perched on fences)

Examples of Choisms " The walrus attacks not the frog. One's enemy is he who posses the greatest threat." "The free spirited can be bound by neither time, commitment, nor strong noodles." "A loaf that attempts to twist its own fate is not a loaf at all, but is, in fact, a pretzel." (Choism revised)

Origin of Choisms Most Choisms are written by Joseph Kovell and are found in the comic No Need for Bushido. Some Choisms, however, are written by fans of the character Cho. While these are not official Choisms, One can only presume that given enough time, Cho, like an infinite number of monkeys on typewriters, would eventually say them as well.
